I'm 37.5 weeks pregnant and am so ready for this baby to come! I just finished work on Friday and my head is all wrapped up in seeing this baby! I've got most of the stuff ready for her arrival, but am having a hard time relaxing as I'm just so excited. What did you do to distract yourself while you were awaiting the arrival of your baby? This is my first, so a lot of friends have told me to just enjoy these last couple weeks of quiet! But...I'm just too excited. I almost need a project to keep my mind off it! Thanks for you help!

Ah Bless you !!
I remember it well.... SO exciting... you're going to be a lovely Mummy!
Why don't you write your baby a letter?
You could start with when you found out you were pregnant, how you felt, who you told, tell her about the scans. The heartburn, when she had hiccups inside you, when she kicked. Tell her about how you are feeling right now.. the excitement and anticipation.
I have 3 children and they love hearing about this sort of stuff. I didn't write them a letter.... but I wish I had!!
Good luck with your little princess and happy nappies!
xx

I worked in my office up until about 10 days before I gave birth. I was set-up to work from home so I worked during the day at home too. Looking back I wish I would have prepared dinners that my husband and I could just heat up when we were hungry, besides cleaning the whole house and being completely caught up on all chores. Get a crock pot and start getting recipes ready. Also, if you want, wash all of your baby's new clothes so they are ready to wear. You can start getting the envelopes ready and your list of addresses ready so when your baby arrives you can easily mail out the announcements and pictures. Go to the post office and get all the stamps you need. Stock up so you don't have to worry about anything the first few weeks after your baby is born. Go for walks and enjoy this time. Good luck!

Your friends are correct, relax and enjoy this time. Take some time for you, have a manicure, and pedicure. Do some nice things for yourself like maybe get a hair cut or a new style that will be easy and less time consuming to work with (as once baby arrives you will not be spending much time on you). Also take this time with your husband and share some quiet hand holding time. And while you are doing this don't talk about the baby. As you will be doing that after she is born. Visit your family members. You might want to prepare some meals that can be frozen so that you won't have to do it later. When all else fails, read that book you have been dying to read. Good luck and God Bless.

Yes, a certain person to call/talk to me who I haven't seen in a few days.
