I was wanting to know if Decaff Tea was ok to drink during pregnancy. I don't really drink much fluids, hardly any, I'm not prego yet, but when I am, "Hopefully" can I drink Tea???
It is the only thing I can drink alot of....I love it!
Thanks for taking the time to read this and answer, I really cannot wait to hear the responses!

Hope you join the "Pregnancy Club" with us soon! Good luck with TTC. Im 20 weeks pregnant & I drink LOTS of fluids. I was worried during my first 8 weeks of pregnancy because I didnt eat alot, I had a very little appetite. My dr told me that more important then "Eating" is "drinking" lots of fluids throughout the day. So I would suggest that you find any drink you like & drink it during the day. Obviously your best choice is water. But tea is good. I drink ALOT of gaterade & viatmin water. I also drink a glass or orange juice every morning & a glass of milk every night.
Im glad I listened to my dr & drank alot of fluids because when I did my 3D ultrasound at 18 weeks, we got awesome & clear pictures. The ultrasound tech said to me "wow, your getting some great pictures. Your amniotic fluid is very clear & fresh. You must drink alot of fluids?" Anyway, hope that information helps you!

You can! While decaff tea still contains a tiny amount of caffeine in it but it's so minimal, I would feel comfortable telling you to drink away!
Good luck! Hopefully you will get good news soon!

I am not a healthcare professional but I believe in tea it isn't caffeine you should be worried about. Some herbs in tea isn't good all throughout the pregnancy. I would talk to your doctor just to be sure.

I just had my baby two months ago and i am a fanatic of chai tea. I had a cup of tea every morning throughout my pregnancy. My baby is really healthy, but you should talk to your ob/gyn to make sure that it is okay or not because every person and pregnancy is different

I drink/drank all sorts of teas made by celestial seasonings. They have plenty that are decaf and the best one of all is the peppermint tea because it is good for morning sickness and heartburn.

A little bit of caffine is fine, my OB told me I could have a cup a day. I am thankful for that because I do love my tea! I imagine caffine free would not concern an OB at all.

Yep! No problem. I drink Decaf coffee too. Also, a little bit of caffeine here and there won't hurt the baby. I'm pregnant with #2.

yes, tea is fine, with coffeine or not. According to the books, you should not be drinking too much coffee, but even so... its nothing wrong with coffee. It doesnt damage the baby, at least not as much as alcohol, or polution, or stress or any other.
