my daughter is 7 weeks old. at first i pumped and i gave her the bottle because i wasn't to crazy about breast feeding. she was up to 4 ounces every 2-4 hours. then it became crazy to pump and then feed her, so i stopped pumping and just breast fed her but i feel like that is all i do like every hour or so. she never feeds for more then 10 to 15 min w/o falling asleep or she just pushes away i try to offer her more because i am sure that she is not getting enough but she dosen't want it. so i go about doing what ever and then she is fussy and wants to eat 15-45 min later. today i started pumping again because i would like to see how much she is getting and i was hoping she would be less hungrey and go back to that 2-4 hour time period. now for some reason i only pumped 3 to 31/2 ounces for both breast and she only drinks 3 ounces and wants to eat every hour and a half..how come she is drinking only 3 not 4 oh and how the hell can you pump and store i only can pump enough for 1 feeding?

Ok, so I am 40 weeks, 3 days pregnant. I didnt know I was pregnant until I was almost 16 weeks along b/c I had experienced bleeding around the same time as my period wouldve been for two months...Anyways, I know that ultrasound dating is most accurate for due dates, but the earlier this is done, the more accurate it's considered. Well, here I am, supposedly 40 weeks, 3 days. I have not lost my mucus plus, had my "bloody show", I have not dilated what so ever yet, and generally just don't feel hugely pregnant. If I dont go by next thrusday my doctor is going to induce which is fine because I am very very eager to meet this little one. However, given my pregnancy scenario, how likely does it sound that my due date might be off by a couple of weeks? (I do NOT know my LMP, which is why they went by ultrasound)

The baby I'm watching is ten months but quickly outgrowing the 18 month clothes I had for him, and with the weather getting colder needs some long sleeves anyways. Where is the best place to look? What is a normal price? How long can I expect him to stay in one size of clothes? Is all the baby clothes sized about the same or will I not know if it fits until he wears it? And what about shoes...is there somewhere that sizes baby feet? And what about the whole soft vs. hard shoe thing...he is almost walking (he took half a step then lunged) so which is better for him, or do I need some of both?
Sorry to ask so much but I am lost!

I was diagnosed with PCOS and have a very irregular cycle (about two or three times a year). My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant, so my doctor prescribed me 50mg clomid. The first month I took it I ovulated (according to bloodwork done on day 21) and my progesteron number was 28. I didn't get pregnant. This month I took the same dosage again but did not ovulate (day 21 number was 1.8). Does anyone know why clomid worked the 1st month but not the 2nd? Has this happened to anyone else? My doctor is keeping me on the same dosage next month; is there anything I can do to make sure that I ovulate?

My mom seems to think I could be having twins. I am 5' 3" and was 120 pre pregnancy and have gained five pounds my first month and my chest and belly are growing so fast. I have four set of twins on my side of the gene pool while my husband has one set (although I read his side can't raise my chances of having twins). I have an ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday and I am 11 weeks. I read you find out after 6-8 weeks. I also read your chances go up when you have your first period after getting off of birth control which is our case. I had my BC (IUD) removed July 3rd and had my period July 5th and found I was pregnant Aug 3rd. When did you find out you were pregnant with twins? How many weeks? Any hints? I have a four year old daughter already. Thanks :-)

I just found out I am pregnant (Friday morning to be exact.) My last menstrual cycle started on Aug 15th. I'm probably a month in. The last 2 weeks before I even THOUGHT I could be pregnant I took Advil PM gel tabs for a bad headache that I thought was due to PMS but in hindsight was probably early signs of pregnancy. Everything I have read says that small adult doses in the first trimester is "OK" but not recommended. Anyone have any insight on this? I don't want to miscarry.

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and dead set on VBAC. However, my doctor (at 35 weeks) decided she HIGHLY recommends a c-section because I only have a single-layer suture. I'm not overweight, gained a little more than normal but not much (35 lbs so far), no diabetes, great blood pressure. The baby MAY be big. My 20 week ultrasound showed it EXACTLY on track and cI haven'ct been tape measured for 3 weeks.

Any stories for me? Success stories will be encouraging. If you were unsuccessful, do you feel like you could have been successful if you weren't so "high risk" for uterine rupture? Did you have a uterine rupture?

so my question is why aren't their laws prohibiting this kind of stuff in public places. And please don't be saying it's a wonderful natural process, it might be wonderful for the mom or dad, but not for the innocent bystanders who just want to get some coffee.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers........... Subject:
SUPER IMPORTANT! Pass on to people with kids!

MAGIC ERASER BURN INFORMATION
IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN, PLEASE TAKE NOTE!!
One of my five year old's favorite chores around the house is cleaning scuff marks off the walls, doors, and baseboards with either an Easy Eraser pad, or the real deal, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I purchased a package of Magic Erasers ages ago when they first came out. I remember reading the box, wondering what the "Magic" component was that cleaned crayon off my walls with ease. No ingredients were listed and absolutely no warnings were on the box, other than "Do not ingest."
My package of the Scotchbrite Easy Erasers didn't have a warning either and since my child knew not to eat the sponges and keep them out of reach of his little brother and sister, it was a chore I happily let him do.
If I had known that both brands (and others like them) contain a harmful alkaline or "base" chemical (opposite of acid on the pH scale) that can burn your skin, I never would have let my little boy handle them. As you can see from the picture, when the Scotchbrite Easy Eraser was rubbed against his face and chin, he received severe chemical burns.
At first, I thought he was being dramatic. I picked him up, put him on the counter top and washed his face with soap and water. He was screaming in pain. I put some lotion on his face - more agony. I had used a Magic Eraser to remove magic marker from my own knuckles a while back and I couldn't understand why he was suddenly in pain. Then, almost immediately, the large, shiny, blistering red marks started to spread across his cheeks and chin.
I quickly searched Google.com for "Magic Eraser Burn" and turned up several results. I was shocked. These completely innocent looking white foam sponges can burn you?
I called our pediatrician, and of course got sent to voice mail. I hung up and called the Hospital and spoke to an Emergency Room nurse. She told me to call Poison Control. The woman at Poison Control said she was surprised nobody had sued these companies yet and walked me through the process of neutralizing the alkaline to stop my son's face from continually burning more every second.
I had already, during my frantic phone calling, tried patting some numbing antibiotic cream on his cheeks, and later some Aloe Vera gel - both resulted in screams of pain. The Poison Control tech had me fill a bathtub with warm water, lay my son into it, cover him with a towel to keep him warm and then use a soft washcloth to rinse his face and chin with cool water for a continuous 20 minutes.
My son calmed down immediately. He told me how good it felt. I gave him a dose of Tylenol and after the twenty minutes was up, he got dressed in his Emergency Room doctor Halloween costume and off we went to the Hospital.
They needed to make sure the chemical burn had stopped burning, and examine his face to determine if the burn would need to be debrided (from my fuzzy recollection of hospital work, this means removing loose tissue from a burn location).
They sent us home with more Aloe Vera gel, Polysporin antibiotic cream, and some other numbing burn creams. By the time we got home, my son was crying again. I tried applying some of the creams but he cried out in pain. Water seemed to be what worked the best.
After a rough night, I took the above photo in the morning. He was swollen and wouldn't move his lips very much to avoid moving the skin on his taut cheeks.
Today he is doing much better. The burns have started to scab over, and in place of red, raw, angry, skin we have a deeper red, rough healing layer. I can touch his skin now, without it stinging.
So please be very careful with these sponges, you could save your child's life!

It's a piece of stretchy cloth that you wear with your regular sized pants and keeps your clothes up while you can wear them unbuttoned or unzipped. I don't have much money for maternity wear and I have to figure out another solution...

I coach wrestling here at my middle school. We have a 14 year old 8th grade girl Paige who is very pretty and was a cheerleader last year, decide to wrestle. Unfortunately she isnt very good. When we wrestle in practice, I think some boys may grope her butt and try to get some " free " feels. She hasnt complained but I noticed some things. Should I leave it alone or say something?

I'm going to my school's Homecoming Dance for the second year in a row. Last year was just to see what it was like- I didn't have a date, just went with a bunch of my friends and we had fun.

I'm a junior this year though, and I was wondering- should I go with a date or just with my friends? I'm pretty sure some of them are bringing boyfriends this year. But I'm also a bit nervous about asking someone out- I don't really know many of the guys at my school, and the ones I do know either already have dates or they're not going to go.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.
