My sister-in-law and I found some beautiful things at consignment shops for my niece and nephews when they were babies and toddlers. Try garage sales, thrift stores and yard sales too. For everyday clothes, babies and toddlers grow so fast; We found many outfits that retail $50 and up for $2-5 dollars, sometimes cheaper.

I agree on the second hand thing, like a Once Upon a Child. With everything being outsourced, and qualtiy gone down, its amazing how fast and how much new things shrink and hold stains. Also how the elastic gives as they wear them during the day and their pants fall down. We've rarely bought anything new, when we have its been shoes from Lands End, and also a jacket. We're in Minnesota and the kids play outside alot in cold weather, so wanted to invest in coats we knew would be warm. (But I still rummage sale and look for these brands)
We're the most happy with hand me downs from cousins on brands like Levis.

Try Babies R Us for shoes. There is a size chart there that you can use to determine the right size. He should have hard soled shoes by now. As for clothing, try to get his weight. Its easier to determine size by weight. Kohl's has a good selection of clothes as well as Target. Good luck.

I usually get my kids clothes at Mervyns, Target, and some stuff at Walmart. I get their shoes at the same stores and have even gotten a few at Payless. They grow out of the clothes so fast and their feet grow fast too.

I bought a toddler bed for my daughter at Wal-mart, its very nice and sturdy and only cost $50, but you'd still need to get another mattress.

With a child that age, why bother spending money on *new* clothes? Try a local thrift shop or Goodwill.

Wal-Mart. Good prices. Good enough quality, they wear clothes out fast anyway
