Now my next question is, how can i get my dilation to speed up. I am sure thats why i was sent home, because little or no change in dilation, was 2 when i get there, was right around 2 when i left. Sex is OUT of the option, was to uncomfortable, having contractions every 2-3 mins. Ive been walking around my house..but doesnt seem to be making the contractions stronger, just staying the same. I am going to take a relaxing shower, hopefully that will help. Anything thing else i can do to get the ball rolling, considering i am in early labor? Thank you.

Had a preterm labor (she passed) and am still having swelling in the legs and feet which I think is also a sign of poor ciruculation. I still have medicaid for two more months as was wondering if medicaid would cover me seeing a cardiologist?

I know I'm sure I'm worrying about nothing...and my doctor told me theres nothing I should worry about and whats done is done. But im 37 weeks and my due date nears I get more and more worried. I wasnt actively trying to get pregnant, and according to my due date (september 20th), i conceived before new years (though, Im farly certain my LMP was actually on New Years)....regardless, I drank a good amount on new years, probably 8 or 9 strong drinks or so. I feel awful and I of course didnt drink a darn thing after i knew i was pregnant...but Im wondering how soon after a baby is born can you tell if she has FAS. Also, how common is it? I feel terrible...

ok so today, as i had lunch with my dad and uncle, they were talking about how old i was and if i lost my virginity and i said no, well my uncle was talking about how he took my cousin, his son, couple yrs back to lose his virginity, and they were talking about taking me, this month or next. I was really uncomfortable with it i mean its my dad and uncle, wdf was i supposed to say. Every male in my family from my mothers, and dads side that i talk to say they lost their virginity that way, by their parents hooking them up with a girl for basically a one night stand.

Is this common among other family's, or is it just my family. Thoughts/opinons/experiences APPRECIATED!

well in june i did not have my period and got it the 4th of july it lasted 8 days i took a prego test like the 29 or 28 and it came out no so i took another the 18 of august and positive so since when have i been prego can the docter tell me exactly what day i became prego or ddo they go by the facts u tell them

im almost 37 weeks and am planning on breastfeeding...but i have a fear of it. I want to do it, i know breastmilk is best and thats why i am going to do it im just unsure of myself. I guess its becuase i would feel awkward "exposing" myself. Is this just a natural fear and it goes away? or did anyone else have this problem?

Im having sharp pains in my stomach and back and thighs... if I walk, well it hurts, it's really hard to stand. If I sit the pain is much more manageable. Also Im losing my mucus plug and it is a little pink and sometimes has red strings in it. (It's blood not strings but thats what it looks like.) I seem to be losing my mucus plug rather fast. During my last pregnancy I lost it over a week.
Ive had so many false labors that Im finding it hard to believe this is the real thing. Im actually 1 day overdue.

My fiance and I like the name Paige for a little girl. We are thinking of using the combo Paige Delaney.

We also like Paige Noelle and Paige Avery.

i still can't figure out how to get my 5 month old to stay away from his habitual feedings at night.

I've gotten one answer that i've read somewhere else - may help.. it's giving your baby warm water instead of milk at night. ( In my case, only untill 3-5 am.. not all night! )

Hes in 50th percentile for his weights and 90th for his height.. So he won't be missing the calories..


And please don't tell me that i'm starving my child, or he will be underweight... ( how do babies that sleep through the night at 6 weeks survive without food then... ? )

My 10 week old is breastfed and formula fed( about 3 bottles a day.) She poops only once every 24-28 hours.My mother in law (ugh) keeps telling me she is not pooping enough, that she shoud go after every feeding. Whereas my doc said it sounds perfectly fine.Im getting concerned because it seems her tummys been upset the last couple days and today she had the greenest poo ive ever seen. I know this sounds gross, but im sure you mothers understand. please help.

My mother doesnt like the name i have chosen for my next child. And i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how i can get people to accept the name i picked. I picked Olive and Sylus which are more unusual names then jennifer or brittney and it seems because of this everyone looks at me like im naming a space creature and not a baby. About a month ago I found out my baby's father has a another child. Get this tho. My daughter is now 4 months and his son is 5 months. Aint that some shi! It just pisses me off. Anyways, I didn't know the bastard was sleeping around like that. My thing is that the girl states that he was there when she delievered and everything. He claims he was in another state when I told him that I had delievered. (I was pissed off at him during my pregnancy so I didn't talk to him until after I had the baby.) He states to me that he knows for a fact that, that kid is his. His *** is not claiming my child, but hasn't totally not claimed her. He tells me his family history and stuff. When I ask realated to the baby. Why is he telling me this stuff if he may be doubting the baby? He tells me if I need anything just let him know. But that isn't the same. What should I do? The girl claims that his parent's know about her son. But they dont know about my daughter. Should I call them up?They should know!

My fiance and I want to get married right away and have been wanting to for a while but had to wait until the insurance plan he had at his job kicked in. That would have been next month but now he is getting another job and going back to college next semester so we won't have that insurance. I can't marry him until we have the insurance thing figured out because I won't be covered under my parents' once we are wed and they won't let us till this is done. This is more urgent than ever that we get married now because my parents are driving us mad trying to control everything. I just gave birth to our baby girl on Tuesday so we need to find a good family plan. If you have any advice on what insurance carriers have good, hopefully inexpensive coverage please share. Oh and we are all in great health so existing health conditions won't be a factor in finding insurance. And the state is VA.

Okay im 15 and 35 weeks pregnant. BUT i was rapped ( long story but im okay now). Im keeping the baby, & everytime im out in public people call me name (s*ut, and alot more). Im so tired of it!! My true friends have stuck by me and i love them dearly for not abonding me. If people our going to say things about me they should say them to my face! Just becouse im pregnant dosnt mean i dont have feelings!! God im so tired of it.

my son is 5 months.. He used to love being swaddled and would fall asleep right away.. Now he has more strength in his arms and fights me every time.. Starts crying and trying to get his hands out.. when i do let him get out of it, he knocks the pacifier out and gets even more upset... He doesnt mean to, he rubs his face not realizing he'll loose the dummy =[

He doesn't like being rocked, so i can't do that.. When i leave him unswaddled and lay him on his side, he wants to pat something! Or like play with something.. so he'll go for the pacifier if nothing else is in his reach - so i lay a blanket and he rubs on that.. hehe.. but moments later he still knocks the paci out..

So how can i help him without changing his sleeping associations? ( i don't want to cosleep or start rocking him to sleep, the goal is to get him to fall asleep on his own completely in the next months )

im not for certain whats causeing them. im not on my period and its not time for my period and iv already had it earlier this month. and even when i do have my period i dont get cramps/side pains. i only get them if i have been running for a long distance which i have not been doing that no more because i graduated so i no longer run for cross country or track. there is a huge posibility that im pregnant but i cant know yet. but im thinking that the cramps/side pains could have something to do with it. but how can i relieve them or keep them from coming. i have been getting them more when i change positions when laying down or when i turn when im sitting down. is this normal and if so when will it go away. im really unconfertable so i would really appreaciate some advice on this. i already tried asking this in the womens health but there has been no answers.

Ok, to try and make a long story short.. (Good luck). My 21 yr. old dead beat brother got a girl pregnant up in Ohio and he presently lives in North Carolina where my parents live The mother of his baby who is 3 months old "can't handle the baby anymore" My mother has asked me to go and pick up the baby and take care of it for an unspecified amount of time till she can come up and get the paperwork and get some sort of custody aggreement.I said, "NO !" My reasoning is that I have 2 children of my own that are 1 yr. and 3yr. I just got myself and part-time job that I enjoy and I NEED to work to help with finances and I felt that it's not my responsibility to care for someone else's baby.I did not create him, why should I bend over backwards to care for him. I DO realize that this in NOT in any way the baby's fault and that his parents are idiots.However, I think that it's asking for too much.. She also wants all my baby clothes and things for this baby.I'm not giving them to her...
