ok so today, as i had lunch with my dad and uncle, they were talking about how old i was and if i lost my virginity and i said no, well my uncle was talking about how he took my cousin, his son, couple yrs back to lose his virginity, and they were talking about taking me, this month or next. I was really uncomfortable with it i mean its my dad and uncle, wdf was i supposed to say. Every male in my family from my mothers, and dads side that i talk to say they lost their virginity that way, by their parents hooking them up with a girl for basically a one night stand.
Is this common among other family's, or is it just my family. Thoughts/opinons/experiences APPRECIATED!

Um, I'd have to say that you're family's a special case here. (And that this really sounds like a creepy fanfic!). Well, I think that you should really wait until you find someone you WANT to do that with (and not just by her looks!). I mean, I know that I wouldn't want my son, brother, or boyfriend, or even my friend doing that! It's cheesy, creepy, and defiantly would make me loose respect for you in a heartbeat. So, I say that you should stand up for yourself and tell your dad and uncle to back off and that you can handle your own life on your own!! Or at least tell the girl that you really don' want to when you get there (I'm sure she'll feel some respect for you!) And really, think about how awkward it would be to return and have everyone know what you just did. Ouch.

It is very sad. You and your "virginity" are special and shouldn't be just given to anyone. It really is a wonderful thing for you to marry a virgin and to know that you were the only man to go into her womanliness and guess what, it works the same the other way around. Sex is a gift from God, make the best use of it and don't give it to just anyone! Well i never really heard of something like that but everyone's family is different...but if i was u i'd tell them how u feel...losing ur virginity is something thats supposed to be special and saved for the right person..not a one night stand.
I'd just sit them down and say right now isn't the time for me to lose my virginity and when it is the right time and i have found the right person i may or may not let u kno.( i said the may or may not b/c i figure ur probly uncomfortable talking w/ ur family about ur personal life..i kno i am) Well good luck and i hope i was some help to u.

Your dad is ga-ga. Does he know how many illnesses you could catch? Does he know that in the Bible it's considered fornication and is one of the grosser sins? Does he know that you want to save yourself for that special girl you'll spend your life with?
Does he know that if you get a girl pregnant right now, it'll ruin your life? There won't be college, boys nights out, football games, etc. There will be working down at the gas station while Mom stays home with the two little ones. Mom can't get a job because day-care for the little ones is more than her salary would be (because she didn't get to go to college, either).
Don't get sexually active just because your dad and uncle are pushing for it. The reasons not to do it way outweigh the reasons to do it. If you have good sense, you'll choose abstinence. It will keep SO many things from happening until you're ready for them.

i think it is great that you aren't passing your self around like the milk at the breakfast table.
its your virginity if you want it keep it
at least you know your safe from std's and your not going to be a father any time soon.
If you save it for someone you care deeply for than you will feel much more rewarded and special
But its up to you
look at it this way 30 years from now you could be sitting down with your own son or daughter and they ask you when or how you lost your virginity do you really want to tell them that you had a one night stand with some girl your dad set you up with? Or would you want to tell them some great story
that could possibly have your daughter save herself
if you do go along with your dad what would you do if she got pregnant or gave you a disease?

I think that's wierd and wrong. You should decide when you lose your virginity. It's a very special thing, and you don't want to give it to just anyone. You should wait til you're ready, and tell Dad and Uncle that this is none of their business.

Tell your dad NO!!! That's disgusting, sick, twisted, and perverted. One of the most special things in marriage is supposed to be that they're the only person you've had sex with.
If your dad pressures you to go-it's ILLEGAL for him to make you go. Just so you know. You don't have to be a sexist pig.

look dude your family is crazy you know honestly there sick. when that moment comes you need to feel ready and in love ok. dont listen to them or anyone else theres nothing wrong with being a virgen. I actually mess up when i lost mine cause i was the type of girls who believed in losing my virgenity until i was married but stuff happens. anyways i lost mine til i was 19.. good luck and do what you want to

No thats not common. Thats actually odd and VERY wrong! Im scared to even ask how old you are. You need to just tell them to leave you be and you will loose it yerself when you want to!! Or talk to a counsellor or something becuase that seriously is wrong.
