Yes. We were bike riding, him on the back of the bike. He accidently stuck his foot in the spokes, both of us went over with the bike on top. He still has a scar on his eyebrow. He was only five and I felt SO bad. I just wanted to give him a bike ride...***sigh*** We had to both go to hospital. He had stitches, I was all cut up and bruised.

You chalk it up to being a human and not perfect. It's not like you set out to purposely harm your child, but things happen in life, and he probably won't even remember. It's no different than when sibllngs are playing around and get hurt. I have had those moments, I accidentaly clunked my daughter in the head with the laundry basket because I didn't realize she was behind me. As long as it is not something serious that needs a dr. attention, just do your best to forget about it and be careful.

After I had my son, I had a very difficult recovery. Not only was I bleeding, but I was still very clumsy. SEVERAL times, I dropped the phone and the TV remote and hit him in the head. I had PPD and so each time I acted like an idiot and cried more than he did. We're human.

I cut the end of his thumb while trying to snip his thumbnail with baby fingernail clippers.
And I accidentally pinched a little bit of skin while trying to buckle him in his stroller.
Both times I cried more than he did. I hate to see my lil man cry.

I scratched my son with my fingernail. And i have left a bruise on my daughters arm from where i grabbed her to keep her from falling off the porch. I felt horrible and cried more than she did!!! I think we all feel horrible and guilty when we accidentally hurt our children.

My nephew is one year old and he walked into a can of Pork-n-beans I was holding in my hand (it was by my side)... I couldn't see him. I was trimming his very sharp nails and pulled a little piece of nail off and it started to bleed. I felt so bad. He still knows which finger I hurt and likes it when he gets a bandaid put on it.

Everyone does this!! My Mother-in-law was zipping up my husbands long pajamas when he was a toddler, and pinched his penis. He has a scar now. She still feels SO bad about it. But it happens, and he's not too traumatized anyone. Counseling does work...totally kidding!!

I did this to my first born; he needed his toe nails cut. I sat on the floor (Indian style), had him on my lap and attempted to cut his toe nails with finger nail clippers. All was going well until I accidently cut his skin. He bled a bit, I felt awful and to this day - I will only cut my own toe nails with nail clippers.
I vowed to NEVER cut any one else's toe nails again. I used 'baby scissors' to cut the toe nails on the next two children.
