I have a 3 year old and my father in law is constantly telling me to spanke him when he misbehaves, I will from time to time when he has done something very naughty. But not for everyday 3 year old habits. I know a lot you will disagree with me about the spanking thing, but I am not going to just hall off and beat my child for doing just what 3 year olds do. So what do you guys think "spanke or not to spanke??"

What Are The Chances You Can Get Pregnant The 1st Time You Have Sex And Without Condoms?

Just wanted to put this out there since there are so many of us using these tests out there!

I used an Equate pregnancy test (Wal Mart Brand) with a purple cap this morning. It was a regular NOT EARLY detection test. I used first morning urine and the plus sign came up right away. The vertical line was lighter than the horizontal line but it was there...husband confirmed it! After about 6-7 minutes the positive line faded away! My husband ran to the store and bought First responce early detection and Clearblue easy early digital and using the same first morning urine they came out negative.

I dont know if there is a problem with the equate tests..I read on www.peeonastick.com that they had problems with the white cap ones but I wanted to share this so you were all aware. It is so much worse to get a false positive than a regular old neg.

Don't worry..we will keep trying and I hope we will all be lucky very soon and get our "true" positives. I just wont be using EQUATE Brand!

im 28 weeks prego. and just started my 3rd tri. now even though i have so much baby stuff that i had to get a storage unit. cause i have a large family with lots of kids. i no that there is still thing that i really do need. can anyone give me a website of a complete list of things u need, without a doubt, in the first 3 months. or can anyone give me a list of everything they needed with there first child, from newborn to 3 months

How did you decide?

I am almost 33 and totally not ready at all to have a child. I always knew I wanted children, but my job as a nanny and not being in a good financial situation right now is making me think I shouldnt. If I were younger and I had another 10 years to be childfree I probably would have one. But, as things are now, I would have to start trying soon and my husband just graduated from college (he is 28) and we now have $100,000 in student loans to pay. My salary certainly doesnt offer much financial security and my husband's salary could be anything from $40,000 to $80,000. It just depends.

I guess I am asking if you know of any resources or advice to help with this decision. When I picture my life without children it is restful and comfortable and happy. However, when I think that I would never have a child there is a bit of sadness. I dont know how to decide and unfortunately time is not a luxury I have.

Over??? It feels like little slithers in my lower stomach. And it only does it like 2 times a day, and some days it doesnt even do it at all. Should i be concerned? I mean, i really dont know if its even fetal movement...but, i dont know.

Having a little debate with a friend about labor. We're talking about first labors, but I think if you answer for all babies it would give is a better idea.

1. What week were you in when you went into labor/had baby.
2. How long was labor.
3. Did you use pain meds.

my aunt and uncle had a beautiful baby girl in the middle of may. they don't feed her enough AT ALL!!! she's been losing too much weight and we can't figure out why they don't just feed her more! they think all of her crying is normal but it's because she's starving!! how do we tell them in a nice way????

Is it safet to take an antidepressant if you are breastfeeding. I am already having really bad mood swings and haven't even had the baby yet. I do know that I am going to breastfeed my baby. I just was wondering if anyone knows it I can if I am taking meds???

A friend of mine is claiming shes only 35wks pregnant and that she is going into hospital on mon to be induced because they said her baby is big.Would they do that for this reason. Im asking this as i think she got pregnant before she met her currant partner and is trying to say its his baby when she is further gone than 35 wks, i think she is being taken in to be induced because shes overdue and not because the baby is big.

When I throw b'day parties for my kids (under 10 yrs), some parents ask something like 'hey, what is ryan into? we'd like to get something he enjoys'.
I used to hem&haw, and say something only after the parent insisted a few times. After a few parties, I'm more frank, and say something like: 'oh, thank you for asking, just having Tommy over will be great. Ryan loves books, trains & anything that moves'. Or: 'Andrea loves pretend play & anything Princess.'

My husband feels they might ask, but it is rude for me to mention what the kids are into. I am more like, hey, it is easier for that parent/kid, my kids and me(no returns).
I keep my reply generic, and do not mention any 'expensive' toys my kids might be into currently.

So, is it rude? Or just plain practical. THEY ask, and these are folks who we know but not very well, but kids get along great. My husband feels they can ask their kid what our kid likes...I feel, just mention couple categories..

My doctor is thinking of inducing me on Aug 4th (im due Aug 1st) because of high blood pressure. however i have decided not to have an epidural and i have heard that when they induce labour it is more painful. i was just wondering if anyone has had experience with being induced with pitocin and not having the epidural. If you have please share your experience. thanks so much!!!

i just gave birth on thursday..i didn't rip or anything but now it's VERY painful to pee because its irritated all around the opening of the vagina and also the lips. and i've been stopping myself from peeing, i've even tried standing in the shower and peeing while running water on that area. can anyone tell me if theres anything i can do to stop the burning so i can pee..is there a cream or anything?
