There is not too much you can really do. Try some vaseline, put it on the sensitive area before you pee, it will keep the urine from touching the skin. Or I have poured some warm water over myself while using the bathroom. I've found that the latter works best for me.

Mr Dr. gave me Dermoplast spray and recommended to spray it over myself while peeing to minimize the sting. I also had a small squirt bottle that I would fill with warm water to do the same thing.

You're lucky you didn't have tears. I did. I used to spray something to help heal it (I think it might have been like Solarcaine), and use hemorrhoid pads because they have healing medicine in them and sort of make it cool and numb. Don't wipe too hard and you can use a baby-wipe to wipe too. Good luck!

Sounds like you have a urinary tract infection. They can be quite painful, and if not treated to lead to kidney infection or worse.

Seek your doctor's advice. They would know better than anyone.

Congratulations on the birth of your child!

My doctor suggested "solarcaine".
You normally spray it on sunburns, but he said to spray it on the "area".

Check with your doctor before trying.
