Pregnancy & Parenting - 11 July 2007

I have been given 3 due dates July 26, August 10, and August 20. According to my last ultrasound my due date is August 11 and my ultrasound at 16 weeks gives a due date of August 10. August 20 is based on my last period. I am a single parent of a two year and I recently moved 4 hours away from home to live with a friend, not knowing I was pregnant. Because of the first date they gave me of July 26 my sister planned her vacation time at work to be here from July 25-July 5 and her job will not allow her to change her schedule. My best friend that I live with, her job will only allow her to take off July 3-6. So if I wait for my due date I will be at home with a newborn, a two year old, and stitches in my stomach (i am having a c-section). I dont think I will be able to do that and I dont know anybody here that could come over and help out. What do you think I should do.

to let me get a tattoo, I'll be 17 next month and my daddy said that he'll take me ((with my mom's permission)). My mom has like 6 tattoos and won't let me get one! I know I'm under the age but my step-dad ((who absolutley HATES tattoos)) said that I should be able to get one in a spot that's easy to hid ((like i want to get, either on my neck or hipbones)). He says since on August 7 I'll be 6 months sober ((YAY ME! ^_^)) and my birthday is August 12, that my mom should let me get one as long as it's not anything stupid. I just don't know what to say to her so she lets me get one. I want to get a Japanese Symbol on the back of my neck of my last name or 2 doves on my hips with little ribbons, one saying honor and the other saying respect. I also took my lip ring on because she didn't like ((but she let me get it anyways)) I've tried a lot I'm just out of ideas of how to talk to her because she gets really pissy if I bring it up and calls me a liar when i say my stepdad agrees with me.

I'm only 16. I'm sexually active with my soon to be exboyfriend if I'm not pregnant. I think he gave me STDs, I'm freaking out. I could be pregant AND have stds. What would I do?? Anyway. We had a "3some" with my best friend...they both had that white stuff all over themselves and rubbed me with it. Could she get me pregnant too??

How old are babies when they start to hold on to toys and other things? My daughter is 7 weeks old and wont hold onto anything except someones fingers. Also when will she start holding her bottle on her own?

I don't understand why mothers want their babies to breastfeed so bad. In my opinion I wouldn't want to. I'd rather use a bottle. Of course I'm not having kids any time soon. But is there a reason women want to breastfeed so bad?

I talked to my ex-husband about that fact that I thought it was inappropriate that he's sleeping in the same room as our son with his new girlfriend. He says he doesn't care what I think he is going to do it anyways. Our son says stuff like, I saw daddy and kim kissing when I was in bed. That just really #1 Hurts and #2 I think is morally wrong. He has NO respect for me or our son. I just don't know what to do anymore. It is confusing to our child but that doesn't seem to phase him. Everyone I've talked to thinks it's wrong too. I want to know how someone can be this way. I know for a fact i would never in a million years do that. Unless we where going to get married. Why is this chick s o stupid to not see that that is really wrong?

In October of 2004, I had a car accident that was not my fault. However, I had been drinking earlier that day and the alcohol registered on my breath. My chidren were with me, and I was also charged with child endangerment. I spent 108 days in jail. The child endangerment was sent to jeuvenile court, and custody of my kids was granted to their fathers. I got three years of probation. for the first 2 yrs. I did fine. But, for the last 6 mos. my probation officer has been watching me very closely, and I feel like he is picking on me. Just recently, he has caught me drinking, and is constantly drug testing me. I don't care about that, because I don't do drugs. But they have denied me driving privilages, so it is hard foor me to work and hold a job. It is part of my probation terms, and I also have to pay child support. I have heard people say that if you feel one county is treating you unfairly, that you can have your case transferred to another county. Fill me in on this....

I feel my baby moving a lot... then sometimes I feel this pressure on my lower stomach..it feel like it's tightening. It's sore but tolerable. I haven't felt it for awhile. Should I be concern that I might be in labor? I'm scared because I am not a full term yet. What if I am really in labor? Will she survive?

My 2 year old has very strange sleep patterns. I've really tried everything I can think of.
The staying up until 4 a.m. just started this last week or two but she can easly stay up until midnight or 1.
I will sometimes deprive myself of sleep and wake up early on the mornings after she's pulled an all-nighter just to wake her up early. However, she can outlast me anyday.
Let's say she stays up until 1 a.m. (very regular occurance). I will then wake up at 7 or 8 the next morning and wake her up at that time as well. By about 2 in the afternoon she is VERY tired and by 3 or 4 she is almost unbearable to be around. But still...no sleeping.
She will easily fall asleep right around dinner time (6 p.m.) but only to wake up at 9 or 10...then she's ready for another all-nighter!
We have a regular nightly routine with bath and some books. Does anyone else have any more ideas on how to get her to sleep on a more regular schedule. I have 3 other girls but they never had sleep issues.

Hi. I babysit for about 5 families who all say I am great. But, I want more cutomers. I thought that if I knew what parents liked I could improve my skills to get more families. Here are some of my qualities: mature, responsible, smart, witty, took the child/infant CPR and first aid course and the red cross and took a red cross babysitting course. Plus, I took another course on babysitting and Doctors Hospitable. Not to mention the numerous books I have read about it. Also, I have letters of recomendation. And experience with ages 6months through 9years. Anyway parents, please help me.

Were they "early" or "late". I am 25 weeks and since day 1 I have thought that the doctors are saying I am 2 weeks less then what I think I might be- This is my first child and I feel like I am ready to explode. Everyone tells me that I look way bigger then what I should. On my last ultrasound the computer said that my due date was now Oct. 18 but they told me that the computer was wrong and that it is still the 22.
