Say you have unprotected sex on the 26th of June. Could the baby be fertilized that day, and come out 9 months later? What I am trying to say is, would I become pregnant that day?

well, yes you become pregnant the day you conceive; but the day you conceive is not always the day you had sex since the sperm can last in your body upto 5 days. you might have sex on june 26th, but the egg might not get released and fertilized until say, june 29th.

If you had your period two weeks before this sounds to me like there is a very good chance that you were ovulation on this day. Ovulation usually occurs 14 days after the first day of your last period. And like others have said you are considered pregnant the day you conceive .

If you had sex and later that day, you just happened to ovulate, yes, you COULD get pregant that very day. According to the way our silly doctor's count pregnancy, you are considered to be 2 weeks pregnant on the day of conception because they count off of the last menstrual period.
Alot of people consider it a chicken and egg sort of thing(no pun intended) because some people don't think you are pregnant until it implants in the uterus and some people think that life starts at conception when the sperm meets the egg and others don't believe life begin until somewhere near birth so it's up to how you think to decide that....but in my opinion, you are pregnant from the day the sperm meets the egg and that CAN happen in one day.

You can get pregnant ANYTIME during the month regardless of it's before, after or DURING your period because sperm can live for up to 5 days and ovulation (the time the egg is released from the ovary) can vary from month to month regardless of how regular your cycle is.
So, you could have sex on the 26th, and the egg could be fertilized that day or on the 30th depending on when you're ovulating.
Best way to avoid pregnancy is to be abstinent.
2nd best way: condoms or some other type of birth control.
Good Luck!

The word conceive does mean you are pregnant. But yes you can conceive any day of your cycle even during your period. However, the most likely days are around 7 - 14 days after you period ends.

Yes, as soon as the sperm and the egg get together, you become pregnant. It takes maybe a few hours, not a few weeks. At this early stage there are still some options out there for you if you are pregnant. Check with your doctor or local health department.

It can take 1-3 days to conceive but by that point you are already considered 2 weeks pregnant.

Yes because the word CONCEIVE means to be PREGNANT. And yes, you have a great chance of getting pregnant two weeks after your period since that is when most women ovulate depending on your cycle's length.

for most women, ovulation occurs in the middle of their cycle...so it is very possible. The best way to check is wait two more weeks and take an at home pregnancy test. Try to protect yourself in the future unless you're hoping for a baby, it's a Russian Roulette game otherwise! Hope the outcome is what you're hoping for... Good luck!

It can take up to 3 days for the sperm to reach the egg. Fertilization actually occurs in the upper 1/3 section of the fallopian tube.
