She is just guessing and you won't know until your 20 week ultrasound. Chill. Every healthy baby is a blessing.

How does she know? People always tried to guess what I was carrying during my 2 pregnancies but a lot were wrong. With my daughter everyone swore I was having a boy because I carried so low, nope she was a girl. I just carry babies really low. Even if you don't want a boy, it isn't up to you. My first was a boy and believe me, I didn't want a boy either until he was born. I would never change it. You don't get a choice in what you get. You get it for a reason. My reason, I had my 2nd child(daughter) almost exactly 3 years after I had my son. It was a girl. Now I know that is the way it was supposed to be. If you want to know right now, there is an actual company that can do an at home test for you and you send it back to their lab. I hear it can be $$$ but it wll tell you by the 6th week and it is 99% accurate or your test is free. Check out the site below.

In a bygone era, women tried to determine the sex of their babies by the way they were carried (high for a girl, and low for a boy), or whether or not they had morning sickness (yes, for a girl, no, for a boy). But these and other examples were just old wives' tales. In our modern era, there is no cause for guesswork or conjecture. Most women who want or need to know the sex of the baby they're carrying, rely on ultra sound. At six weeks, it's probably too soon to get a good picture, but when you're further along, ask your obstretician for an u;tra sound. It's a machine that takes a picture of the growing fetus inside the womb, and can detect the sex organs. It's painless and non-invasive. So your mom has a 50/50 chance of being right or wrong. Good luck! I hope for your sake, it's a girl, but if not, little boys are precious too.

She's just doing what everyone does.....trying to guess. Why don't you want a boy? They are the most lovingest things! When I got pregnant with my first I didn't want a girl because I'm not a girly type. I think shopping is a punishment and quite frankly I've never understood why women need more than two pairs of shoes so I thought I couldn't be a good mom to a girl, but when she came out I loved her just the same and my other girls too! I've only got one boy and he's got some handicaps and has been through alot, but he's my biggest fan. He always hugs me and kisses me and tells me how much he loves me and stuff and my girls are always pulling away and running to daddy instead. Trust me, little boys are wonderful....and these days, you can play dress up with a boy too with all the cute little outfits they sell for them!

Right now its just a wait and see process.. You wont know the baby's gender untill you are atleast 16 weeks, and then they wont give you 100% answer unless there is no doubt its a boy... With my daughter everyone said it was a girl and sure enough she was.. With this pregnancy however everyone swore it was another girl, and at 18 weeks everyone was proven wrong.. He is definitly a boy.. Dont stress over the gender. Be happy that you are pregnant and that so far things are going good.. Many women would give there life just to be told they are pregnant. Gender really shouldnt be an issue with any expectant parent.. You will love your baby no matter what. Trust me.. Congratulations on the pregnancy, and Best of Luck. I hope you get what you want...

Your mom is just guessing. She has a 50% chance of being right, but you also have a 50% change that you will have a girl. The baby's sex organs aren't visible until 15 weeks, and even then they are so small that they are extremely hard to see on an ultrasound. It's usually at least 18-20 weeks before the sex can be seen on an ultrasound. You still have at least 12 weeks to go, so don't get stressed out about it now. Congratulations and best wishes.

Your mom has no way on knowing at all yet it is too early.
You should be happy with a healthy child in general.
Me and my husband both wanted a girl, and we found out we were having a boy, I was a little dissapointed. But when it kicked in and seeing him for the 1st time, he was precious!
And I couldn't imagine my life without him. Just pray your baby isn't born blind, deaf, have cistic fibrosis, or any other birth defects. On a positive note I hear boys are closer to there mommys!

Does she know you don't want a boy? Maybe she's just teasing you. It's a 50/50 chance either way. There's no real way to tell right now. You have to wait a few months and find out in and ultrasound. But don't set yourself for possible dissapointment...if it is a boy there isn't anything you can do to change that.

Sounds like you need to grow up before you consider having a baby and realize that you don't wish upon a star and get what you want. The gender of your baby is not chosen it is due to what sperm that attaches to the egg. So its is out of your control. I know many people who would be happy with a baby, a healthy baby, which should be your primary concern. If you are are pregnant with a boy are you going to abort because you didn't get your way? If you are really that determined to have a girl, then should have considered adopting a little girl from somewhere like China, where little girls are unwanted and basically disposed of. Please do yourself and your child a favor and grow up before you considering having anymore children.

That was my attitude all 3 times and well, look at my name! Good news is, she may be wrong and it be a girl! Other good news is, you'll love the boy just as much , so it is a win, win situation! I still hope this time I finally get my girl, but I love my boys and would not trade them for anything! You'll feel the same if you get a boy! Best wishes!

There's no way she can know. You have to wait until you get an ultrasound at about 5 months. And if you are having a boy trust me you will love him just as much as you would a little girl.
