everytime i lay down i feel like something is pushing down on me its very unconfortable i feel it throughout my abdoment and stomach..ive been stressing about pregnancy i think i am , even though my boyfriend tells me over n over again that im not because we only had sex once it was feb.1 and a condom was used..can it be me thinking i am thats causing me to feel this?

I am just curious because i have my first prenatal apointment in 2 days (i am 16weeks pregnant) and i am wondering if i might be getting an ultrasound. But alot of people have told me i would have to make an apointment at the hospital. Wouldnt an Obgyn office have the machines right in the building?

I was invited to my sister-in-law's shower by her sister and I no longer live in the area since I moved about 6 hrs away so I cannot attend and we also are not that close anymore we used to be, we even lived together at one time. I threw her a $500+ shower for her 1st baby about 1 1/2 yrs ago it was the most attention to detail shower ever I went all out for her, (since I myself struggle with Infertility) I love baby showers.

I am going to mail a gift card this time around how much should I send without being cheap or overdoing it?

She is my husband's brother's wife.

I just got off birth control and was wondering how long it would take my body to start having it's normal periods again. Before I went on BC I had a 35-38 day cycle and it was normal and on time every month. Then the BC cut it down to every 24 days. When can I expect my normal cycle? Anyone have experience with this... I'm 21 by the way...

He keeps saying he misses me and wants to go back to that last 3 weeks we were dating so he could have more time with me. How he gets lonely and thinks about me when he has a bad day. I told him to stop making me feel gulity and how I can't change what happened. How I moved on and can't stand how he makes me gulity. I told him its not healthy for either of us. Help he is ruining my Valentines day! Everytime we talk all he does is say I miss you and makes me feel guility. Chris is acting like a beaten dog. im only 15 years old. What do I do?

My doctor put me on birth control pills to try to regulate my period after going 15 straight months with a completely irregular period. I was never good with the pill, I took my first pill on the 24th of January and then followed it with 4 more pills but not consecutively meaning I took the pill on the 24th, 25th, and 26th, forgot the 27th , took it the 28th, and 29th and then just kept forgetting we had a lot going on, anyways those are the only birth control pills I have taken besides the depo provera shot in November of 2005, could those 5 pills still be giving me side effects on the 14th of February, I am having some tugging sensations in my lower abdomen and also feel completely wiped out all the time no matter how much sleep I get and some foods are making me sick, this isn't me thinking of it too much I just noticed all of this the other day. My boobs are still really sore on the sides and underneath my armpits, is this just the pills or could there be something else.

so everyone has said to have lots of sex to help induce.... But what can you use to help keep you wet and not get so sore? because my husband has been gone for 2months already, Im going to be sore, Im sure after the first time? What do you guys suggest I do to help not get so sore, so soon? And by lots of sex? what do you guys mean? Like every hour, 3x a night?

Hello All!
I used to be a smoker until my husband and I decided to start a family. It was easy for me to quit because I had a great reason, he said he was going to quit as soon as I got pregnant (because he did feel it was ok for him to smoke when I couldn't). I am now almost 8 weeks and he hasn't tried to quit at all. I keep pestering him to stop and I can hardly stand the smell of him when he enters the room. Any suggestion on how to help him stop??? Do you think he will quit once the baby comes??? I don't want him stinking up the baby!

My neighbor Madison, shes 6 years old and is going to be 7 soon. She copies like whatever I do, its so annoying. When she gets mad she punches me in the stomach. And at her parent's new years party she chased me around with a plastic guitar threating to hit me with it, no lie. Whenever my friend Liz comes over Madison tries to act older than she is and tries to be in the middle of things. I know it really isnt any of my buisiness to know if shes normal or not but shes weird.

I am in the process of weaning my 10 month old off the bottle onto sippy cups. He has been using sippy cups in some capacity since he was about 5-6 months old. I have sucessfully taken away every bottle except the bedtime bottle. I am mainly concerned that he will not stay full and sleep through the night when I do take the bedtime bottle. I know I can get him to sleep without it, but I am worried that without that 7oz of formula he will wake up earlier out of hunger. He has been sleeping through the night since about 8 weeks, and I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that. :) Just FYI - he is on three meals a day and drink formula from his sippy cup during meals. Suggestions?? Thanks!

Okay, I am currently taking Yaz birthcontrol. I have been for about 7 months. My periods are about the sam every month. This month though I didnt start while taking my inactive pills. I am having cramps as usual but I just have a brown discharge like coming out. I was kind of worried so I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. I have recently changed my diet, lost 8 pounds, and started exercising so I didnt know if this would cause problems. Can someone please help me?

I'm 30 yrs old with the history of PCOS (Poly cystic ovaries syndrome), me and my boy friend have been together for almost 2 years. I found out yesterday that I am pregnant, if I break this news to the family they will be devastated and probably will not have any contact with me, I don't know for how long. My boy friend is excited about the news and is willing to raise the child with me, but he is not yet divorced, his case is dragging since past 5 yrs and he doesn't know how long it will take. I am happy to know that I'm pregnant but at the same time I have doubts and fear of the family and him not being able to be out of his messy divorce.
Please help.

ok heres the story. I was due for my period around the 8th of February on the 5th i got very lite spotting, first day was a red spot about the size of a half a dollar coin next day nothing then the next two days 2 little streaks of redish brown that could fit on the a half a needle. on the last day looked like someone took a brown crayon and rubbed it against my liner lightly waited till the 14th took a test and it was negitive should i have waited longer? only bloating, nausa and heartburn are my symptoms

I live in California, and my kids go to public elementary school. This year, they have come up with this new nutrition plan, I refer to as the "Snack Nazies". I am not aloud to send pudding, chips, capri sun, or anything that is not light, fat free or sugar free in their lunch. However, the cafeteria still bakes cookies and sells them for .50c and serves pizza, hot dogs, and very fatty tortilla chips. Not to mention chocolate milk and french fries..... How is that right? They have even taken homemade peanut butter cookies away from my boys at lunch..... how can they do that????? Have they gone too far?

I think that it is a great idea..and cant believe that the government has not done anything to pass this Law...as about 80% of people want it!!

The US already has it..so why dont we??!!

ok well i had sex (used condom) about 2 weeks ago..i was on the second to last day of my period..well the next day i woke up, had a stomach ache nd i immediately thought i was pregnant(it was my first time having sex) well ever since that day ive felt like nauseas and i feel alot of pressure in my stomach..i went to the EMERGENCY ROOM today from all the stress i feel thinking if i could be pregnant i didnt say i thought i was because i went with my father. they took a urine test and thats all i know..they gave me medicine for my stomach..i dont know if im pregnant or not or if its my nerves...would they have known if i was pregnant from feeling my stomach or my urine test? would they have told me?

I am nine months pregnant and my husband's family are a bunch of jerks. None of his family has had a thing to do with me my entire pregnancy and I know when I go into labor they will all rush up to the hospital and act like they are my best friends. More of a show for my family who already knows the truth. I don't want them anywhere near my baby, but I can't tell my husband that. He thinks his family is just great and I'm the one that needs to get over their never calling me or coming to my baby shower. How in the world am I going to be able to sit in that hospital, in labor or just had a child, with a bunch of people I can't stand? His mother especially irritates me because she is a know it all and I really don't need any advice from someone who didn't even raise her own children. Anyone know of anyways for me to deal with this up coming situation? I don't want to cause any trouble between me and my husband. I need some advice on how to cope with people you can't stand. Thanks!

im 36 weeks and 5 days after the past 2 days of feeling great and having some energy, today i feel so drained, achy, nauseous, had diarreah (sorry t.m.i.) and have been extremely emotional with some hot flashes. Ive heard of feeling sick at the end of pregnancy does this sound like it? or could it be that i am getting sick. I was 25% effaced 2 weeks ago and have been having contractions here and there...will be checked again tomorrow. Any advise, experience, input would be great! THANKS :)

It feels very sore all the time, not so much pressure but rather aches and pains. Could I still be growing, stretching or perhaps gettting closer to D-Day?! It's almost impossible to turn over because it hurts so bad. When I walk I have to be careful because my bones pop and crack. Everything feels loose... any suggestions as to what is going on? I have read a lot of questions and answers in regards to disipline and I am apalled at what some mothers are saying! Now don't get me wrong every person has a right to express their own opinions but when it comes to parenting I would like to believe in this day and age us mom's could stick together. In case you don't have a clue as to what I am talking about; I have read answers from mothers stating that "you are not a good parent if you spank your children" or " You should not have children if you don't know how to raise them" for christ sakes people children do not come with instructions! And correct me if I am wrong but isn't our society filled with disrespectful monguls as a result of parents being afraid to displine as we were taught by our own mothers? My mother did not think twice to give me a needed slap and today I would never dream of hurting someone or disrespecting others. Reality Check is Greatly needed!

I do think this Ban could be very good since second hand smoke has proven to be very dangerous. I do not smoke so I guess I am one sided on this. However it does make me ask a few questions....

#1 it said it would ban kids 13 or under from being in a car when your smiking..... Why until 13, arent kids 13-18 important also? Arent those the kids the try the age groups that watch every movement we make?

#2 Doesnt the smoke stay in the interior of the car when it is smoked in when the kids are not in the car?

#3 If they smoke, the children will still be trapped in the home with the same parents that smoke. Is this not just as bad?

#4 they are writting it that they wont stop you for smoking but will fine you once they have you stopped. Shouldnt they be allowed to stop for that if they can for seatbelts?

I just dont understand how they can seperate it like that.
