Put her on her tummy, and you lay on your tummy too, face to face. Show her toys, how they work, and always be talking to her. She'll love the conversation and it also helps develop early language skills.
you can also play peek-a-boo, give a baby massage, play with a scarf or small sheet draping it over her head and sliding it off, dance goofy in front of her, sing, clap, take out different items from your closet and let her feel the different textures of different clothes/objects.
At this age, I started putting her in her high chair with some toys and a small mirror, she loved the mirror and was curious everytime she saw her reflection.

I have a four month old ...lol and he loves the singing and reading so we do do alot of that...
but he also loves playing in front of the mirror.
he has just discovered that he is the proud master of three dogs so petting the puppies is fun
he likes to watch the occassional Baby Einstein DVD
We got him this little leap frog classical music thing that he lays under and listens to music and bats at the toys.

We go to the park and he likes looking at trees and birds (the pet shop is good for that too)
This time is about discovery and self discovery...take him around and show him everything...including simple things like his own hands or feet...they're are learning everything...right now...so the more you expose him to ...the better! :)

My son is 5 months old. We do the singing and reading thing too, but I get your frustration. I tried playing patty-cake with my little guy - he loved it!. We play sitting, standing (he holds my thumbs and stands on my thighs or tummy), tummy-time (introduce toys to him and slowly draw them away to encourage him to reach for them, crawl, etc.). My son spends a little bit of time in his jumperoo - his favorite thing - or his bumbo chair and I show him toys. Over time he eventually started grasping them himself so I helped him shake them, or helped curl his fingers around them before he got the hang of it himself. Show him toys that are different colors, move them around - back and forth, for example - he will follow the objects with his eyes/head.

Swing in a baby swing outside. Hold on your lap and help do patty cake, etc. Make sure you don't stimulate your baby 100% of the time the baby's awake. Babies need to learn to be content on their own too, while you are doing laundry or even taking some time to read a book for yourself.

There are baby jungle gyms to stimulate baby -- I didn't have one myself but wished I did. Instead we used everyday baby-safe toys with fun colours, textures and make noise that my baby could grab for or kick to stimulate his muscles. Taking baby for a walk is good for both of you - whether you use a carrier or stroller. A friendly looking hand (or sock) puppet, bubble blowing, a baby swing, there are books on how to do baby massage (always move blood towards the heart). My baby loved his exersaucer and jolly jumper but don't keep them in those harnesses for too long (hard on their hips).

Hi, I teach a Parent/Child Swim class and most of the parents and babies seem to really enjoy it. Do you have a membership to a recreational center? Getting your baby in the water at early ages helps them later on so they are not afraid of water or getting their face wet.
Or even having more bathtub fun is a great activity for a baby. You can get all kinds of bathtub toys for them to handle, great for motor skills ;)
Make the animals talk.. etc.

i set my daughter in her car seat on the floor and i stand in one place and talk to her and let her find me then i move to another spot and let her do the same thing. peek-a-boo is also good for this age. try putting your hands in front of your face and then move just your hands to the side and babies will usually follow your hand because they think your face is behind it
