Okay, I am currently taking Yaz birthcontrol. I have been for about 7 months. My periods are about the sam every month. This month though I didnt start while taking my inactive pills. I am having cramps as usual but I just have a brown discharge like coming out. I was kind of worried so I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. I have recently changed my diet, lost 8 pounds, and started exercising so I didnt know if this would cause problems. Can someone please help me?

Brown could be old blood, or infection. I would make an appt with your doctor.

Brown discharge is almost always blood, or menses. It sounds like your body is trying to menstruate but something is messing it up. Go to the website of the pharmaceutical company that puts it out and check out warnings, side effects etc. Of course you should see a doctor but there may be a caution about stopping the drug suddenly.

Probably just having an off month, which I'm sure is normal for all of us to have a messed up one once in a while. (Or it could be just slow to start.) Trust me...my last month that was thrown off...I got it twice, with only a week break in between, I'd much rather have it light. ; )

You are spotting and possibly having break through bleeding. I wouldn't worry. It happens.
