im 36 weeks and 5 days after the past 2 days of feeling great and having some energy, today i feel so drained, achy, nauseous, had diarreah (sorry t.m.i.) and have been extremely emotional with some hot flashes. Ive heard of feeling sick at the end of pregnancy does this sound like it? or could it be that i am getting sick. I was 25% effaced 2 weeks ago and have been having contractions here and there...will be checked again tomorrow. Any advise, experience, input would be great! THANKS :)

Yes those are end of the pregnancy symptoms. You're 36 weeks and 5 days almost considered fullterm, so that's my guess. And having diarreah is a major symptom of labor coming within a few hours to a few more weeks! I had diarreah around the 34-35 weeks and I'm still pregnant... but I could still go at any time. Hot flashes would be caused by hormonal changes that your body is going through in the lasts weeks of pregnancy, and of course making us more emotional... haha. Good luck and have a great Valentines Day!

Awww....the end of pregnancy is very difficult. Not only because your achey and anxious to get this overwith.....but then your body tries to someone cleanse itself before birthing. Many women experience 'stomach/bowel' issues as their delivery gets close so I would recommend eating light foods. Soups, crackers, dry cereal. Try and avoid too much sugar and dairy, this will only upset your stomach further. Also, just to be safe...mention your symptoms when you get checked tomorrow just so your Dr. can be sure you're not feverish. Good luck...i have a feeling you're going to be delivering in no time.

they say that at the end you could get diarreah, my friends mom didnt even know she was in labor, she just thought she had diarreah. so, unless the contractions become regular, just take it easy and wait to get checked tomorrow. but as i said, if contractions become regular and/or 5 min or less apart... then go to the hospital! Good luck and God Bless!!

I felt very sick right before having my daughter but to be safe since you are being checked tomorrow I would let your doctor know how you are feeling.

Given the time of year it is, I think it's likely that you could have the flu or something like that. You should go to your doctor, and in the meantime take it easy!
Congratulations!
