Pregnancy & Parenting - 31 January 2007

I just turned thirteen weeks today for my pregnancy. I heard my baby's heartbeat last Saturday (01/27/2007) and doctor said it was good. The next day though, I don't feel any of my symptoms of pregnancy. I'm not nauseous anymore. My breast are not sore anymore and my areola that has been sore for 5-weeks straight are not sore anymore. I'm so worried that something happened. Did anyone ever went thru this dillemma too and everything turned out fine? Please, experience mothers or people who are currently pregnant. PLEASE ANSWER! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!

You know it really angers me at the number of teens that are intentionally trying to get pregnant by either tricking a guy into it, or just being selfish and thinking a baby would be fun and not thinking of how much of a responsibility it is to raise a child. I mean look at all of the couples who would love to have a child and then you see all of these irresponsible young teen-aged and even pre teen-aged girls getting pregnant because of entrapment or negligence. This really disturbs me because I don't think that people who are having kids for all the wrong reasons should be blessed like they are and the people who do deserve a child can't have one. Ugh this really does annoy the hell out of me

Lately my five year old son has been showing signs of bad behavior. His mother and I are at a loss. He has this friend who has a very leinent mother. She basically let's the boy do what-ever he wants. We are not strict with our boy but we do have effective disciplinary measures.
One evening he was out playing with his friend and they decided to go into a neighboring mobile home park. He was out rather late and I went to find him.
He thinks that I was rather harsh when I told him to get his but home ASAP. When he got home I grounded him. I told him he wasn't going to be running the streets. He's five.
Was I wrong to insist that my five year old wasn't going to be running the streets. How could I have handled this better?

My Doctor says my son will need tubes in his ears? What does this mean? He was busy today so didnt have much time to explain it all to me. I know its used to drain etc..but how long do they stay in? Will it effect his balance or anything?

Never listens to me while my Hubby is at work or working away. I can ask him the smallest thing and he has an answer each time. Then when I shout at him he cries or starts to scream. What can I do as I a younger child and dont want him to start doing this. My son Im talking about is nearly 7years old. I dont know what Im doing wrong really. He does get me down at times but I dont believe in smacking my children,

i got a + pregnancy test two days ago and last night i started bleeding a little. at first it was pink with clear slime in it then it turned a little red then back to the pink again. i really do not have any cramping and i have had diarrhea today. what can this be. i am thinking i could be miscarrying could it be or will i and the baby be ok. i know that you are not doctors but i just want some advice.

My kids go to a great day care, I do admit I forget to bring some stuff for them sometimes, like take my daughter her snack for lunch or school projects when she needs to bring something for school, I dont mean to I feel so bad, but Im just so busy in moivng and work. I do love them and take care of them but is that a bad mother. If so I am going to try to remember for now on. Has my 18 week suspension started yet? 10 points?

Okay, this happened like 8 or 9 days ago, it was after school and the principle told me 'don't bother coming to school tommorow you are suspended and going to alternative', so when i didnt show up the next day, was that the beginning of my punishment?? Or do I have to be in behavior school for it to start?? I really, really do not want to go to behavior school so im hoping that it has already started.. but help please. 10 points..

My 4 year old neice lost her mommy last year on valentines day. She is a beautiful little girl but she has problems with listening to certain peeople. She will listen to me, but as soon as her nana or papa or daddy come into the picture she acts like she has got them whipped to a point she dont listen. My daughter recently had a huge poop change. She went from pooping once a day, every other day peanut butter like poop to pooping 3-4 times a day mustard yellow watery poop.
She is getting a tooth in, no fever no discomfort. Shes starting to eat different food including vegtables and fruit. I just want a second opinion of if this is normal. And if anyone has gone through the same thing.

The doc said to wait until he was 9 months but he is healthy little guy (only 1 minor cold so far) and we have not identified ANYTHING at all that he is allergic to. He hates baby food so much and just stares at us when we eat our food as if to say, "Mommy please let me have some of that instead of this pureed chicken and rice crap!" So when I got home from work yesterday, I was eating a piece of cheese and he put his little hand out reaching for it. I HAD to give him some. HE LOVED IT - he smiled and laughed!
No strange poops or rashes yet.
