It is never too early to start looking for names. I am not even pregnant, but have thought about getting pregnant and I already know what names I would choose if I had a child. It does not matter if you don't know the gender yet. Pick names for both. Make a list and whiddle it down until you find the one that you truly love. Or keep the list until the babay is born and choose the name then. Some people wait until that very moment. But it is definitely a good idea to have a list. You really do not want to be the one person without a name for their baby when it's born and believe me that does happen. .

I started look at names when I was about a month pregnant! It was one of the most fun things to do besides reading pregnancy/baby books. Don't wait until you know what you're having. It's more fun if you go through all the girl and boy names and choose the ones you like. It may take a while to decide, but make lists of all the names you like and then break it down to boy/girl, then talk with your husband and start eliminating some of the names. It really is fun!

I Think It's Best To Pick Boy&Girl Names Now And Norrow It Down To Your Favorite Boy&Girl Names And When You Find Out If It's A Boy Or Girl Then Pick The Name You Like Best If Your Married Talk It Over With Your Husband About Boy&Girl Names He Likes So It's A Little Easer To Pick The Babies Name.

I started thinking about names 5 minutes after I peed on a stick! It is totally up to you, though. Take your time and do what feels right to you.
Just make sure that you have come up with a few names before you go into labor.
Also, you don't have to wait until pay day to start looking. There are so many resources on the Internet you shouldn't waste your money on a book!
Good Luck ;-)

It was very hard for my husband and I to find a name for my son. He didn't have a name until he was 3 hours old. With my daughter we picked out her name when we found out we were having a girl. So better to start sooner so you have a while in case you don't find one you like, or to get used to it. Also having 2 names to choose from will help if the baby comes out not looking like your first choice name.

I started thinking of names when I was just a little girl! I have always wanted to be a mom. I had a boy just like I thought he would be. When I had my first sono at 8 weeks 5 days I just felt it!!!!! I thought that is a boy and I will name him Shane. As time went on I wondered and worried and changed it but by the time he was born I was back to Shane.

If you don't have the urge to look for a name, don't worry about it. You will eventually and there's no rush. I new a couple who had no idea what they were going to name their baby until he was born.
You can google baby names and it's better than any baby name book and it won't cost you a thing~

I am surprised you never thought of this even before you got pregnant, I thought every little girl dreamed of the day they could name their son or daughter... You can start looking whenever your ready, but I would say start soon and juggle a few names for awhile so when the time comes you know the name is just right!

Honestly, I didn't really even think of a name for my son until I felt him kicking. By then everyone was asking if I had picked out a name, since I knew it was a boy, that I ended up not telling anyone until he was born. I think it saves a lot of grief, since people always have something to say about the name you pick. They are not always nice. So, pick a name whenever you feel like it, and if you don't want comments on it, keep it to yourself.

I started even before I got pregnant, thinking of names. Once I got pregnant I looked through the books everynight with my b/f until we finally settled on a boy's and girl's name. Take your time, and start when you are ready and are feeling in the mood to look for a name. You have plenty of time.
