well- yes you can't get pregnant but you are also at risk of getting an infection. IT's not recommended to make love for at least a month after you have a baby jsut in case you have bleeding down there etc. But- you ARE very firtile right after having a baby. I know people that have gotten pregnant like this. Since you are taking contraceptic pills you may not but the thing is that youv'e been off birthcontrol for almost one year so you can have your baby so your body has to kinda start getting back into the routine that you will be on birthcontrol now to some women this might take a few months to kick in to your system and you won't get pregnant and to some it takes longer so you';re more likely to get pregnant. I got pff birth control about 1 1/2 year ago because i was having too much headaches, weight gain etc and have had unprotected sex with my bf of 4 yrs and haven't gotten pregnant even though he has penetrated me accidentally at times and we worry that i won't get a period every month but i still do. In my case- i was on birth control for like 6 years the depo shot and my body still has it in it's system and it's trying to get rid of it so i can't get pregnant because my body thinks i'm still on birthcontrol so it rejects any pregnancy i can have. In your case it can be different depending how long you've been on birthcontrol, the kind of method you used etc.

After you give birth to a baby is when your the MOST likely to get pregnant.. up to 10 weeks after the baby is born, actually. If "contraceptive pill" is THE PILL, then I'd imagine it's not going to protect you if you didn't take it before you had sex. If you really don't want to be pregnant, I'd go see about getting the morning after pill. I'm tell ya though... right after a baby is born, your hormones are going crazy for weeks and you are VERY likely to get pregnant.

Chances a good that you may be preg. There is (i believe it's over the counter now) the after pill. You have to take it withen 24 hours. It's a bit pricey, but if you are really worried about it, then pay the $ or take the chances. The pill is NOT going to help if you have already conceived, but the after pill will. Good luck.

oh yes be careful when having sex right after you have a baby, you should wait (if you dont want another one right away) until you are and have been on BC for a little bit and/or use condoms, but yes its possible that you could be. its only been three weeks so a test could very well still show a positive result. i would wait a little while before you test.

It would depend if you are ovulating being that your hormones are on overdrive there is a good chance that it could happen. I would use a condom if you are having sex.

Your hormones are extra sensitive to the feeling of being pregnant making it easier to get pregnant for a year after a birth.

there is a lower possiblility if you are breast feeding, or if you are still bleeding
If not, there is a high likelyhood that you could be.
Refrain from taking pills for now and from having sex, until you are sure.

If you are not yet ready to have another baby, you should probably set up a double form of protection, such as pills and condoms.

Also - although all forms of protection are somewhat reliable, they are NOT 100% and none of them protect you from STD's

It's very possible. You need to be on birth control piss or contraceptive if you don't want to get pregnant.
