Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 January 2007

hi there, is there anybody out there who can give me references for a couple who is trying to get on their feet? My wife is eight months pregnant, and I'm an older man w/ a heart condition. The shelters here from what we can tell aren't too safe... any ideas or advice? No rude comments please, we just want to get on our feet before the baby is born next month.

we are legally married, i was 1 mth pregnant and we were 5 mths married when he walked out. I have no address or phone # on him and he has refused to be part of the baby's life.I am now 8 mths preg and i do not want to give my baby his last name. I feel that giving his unborn son his last name is an honor that he ( the father) does not deserve. Can i leave father's name as "unknown". My husband wants no part of me or the baby and he is with someone else, who has a history of drug addiction.

Me and my girlfriend had sex, and we were trying the pulling out method, but througout the course of the night, there failed to be many of the actually pulling out part. So what are the chances of her being pregnant. She said she's unregulated, so there are months that she don't gets it at all, and there's never really been any set pattern to her menstration. She had her period about 6 weeks ago or so...should I be worry...am I going to be a father?

i have a three year old son that is potty trained when it comes to peeing in the toilet but when it comes to pooping, for some odd reason, he goes in the floor either in his room or in front of the toilet. he's when in the toilet before so i don't think he's scared of doing it there. and he knows he's not supposed to do it because when he does, he tries to sneak and get toilet paper to clean it up so he doesn't get into trouble. i have tried everything i know of. i haven't found anyone else that has had this problem. if anyone can think of anything please please please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok....here's the deal. My son has some buddies who are from broken homes, or with parents who may not supervise their children as much as I do mine. My boys call me "the anti-drug", simply because I demand to know the who-what-when-where-why of their activities. For that reason, and knowing they don't get the same supervision at their friends homes, most of the time the guys all hang out here at our house. We live 6 miles out of town, so I also shuttle all these kids back and forth. When they're here, they make themselves at home, there is plenty of junk food, pop and invite them for dinner. I THOUGHT WE HAD A GOOD THING GOING.....So the local sherriff just called....wanting to know if I want to press charges on two of these boys for breaking and entering in to my other home in town (it has been empty for a month or so).

My feelings are more hurt than anything. I would've done anything for these boys, as I would my own boys. Do I press charges? What else would be a good lesson

I had my last period on 12/26/06...I had sex on 12/31 through 1/04/07...(multiple times a day)

I was watching Maury when I got home, and I'd previously been thinking about my friends, who are identical twins. Thinking of them at the same time of watching the results of a paternity test made me think. Are paternity tests successful when twins are fighting over who the father is? There's not really a way to tell by the look of the child, if they are identical twins. Does this mean they have the same blood, and that a paternity test would say that they are both the father? I was just wondering...

many parents think that ther kid needs the 60 dollar shoes that they will do better in school than those that will be in k mart shoes etc , they fill if there kids have nicer clothes that they will fit in etc , what ever hapened to parents teaching there darn children u like someone for whom they are and what tey are not skin color , not the clothes tey wear etc . parents buy trher echildrens love why do parents do this , is it because there insecure , yes we want better things for our kids but damn im not gonna bounce a check or not pay a bill because my child wont go to school unless they have these shoes

My fiance' and I tried to conceive for the first time on January 1st before he went back to Iraq. I was due for my period on the 8th, and have yet to start. I've had headaches, almost everyday; I've been nauseous and even throwing up frequently; I've had a metalic taste in my mouth so bad that it "hurts" my teeth to eat with metal silverware; and I pee pretty much every hour on the dot. I took a HPT on the 13th, which was positve. Then, last monday I went to get two more (cheaper brands though) and they were both negative. Today I went to the hospital to have a blood pregnancy test done, and it was negative also. Is there any way that this could be wrong? I feel so pregnant, but maybe I just want to be so bad that I'm making myself feel this way......

when he gets angry or fruastrated he decides to bang his head on the wall, or even throw himself to the floor. you can hear it too when he does that. it worries me alot. i am afriad that he is going to get brain damage to the head before he is older enough to go to school. i don't know what to do....... The doctor said its normal but i think its not. this is very serious! i need some help here about this situation. so please someone answer my question?
