i also have three kids
i gave birth almost 6 weeks ago
i was scared to get my tubes tied (surgery) but in the end i deceided that it would be right for me cause i was already in pain from the delivery (which i did not want to feel again lol) and three babes was all i needed :) and the surgery only took an hour and it did not hurt nothing like i had worked my self up to thinking it was gonna feel like. nothing else is (long lasting) except if he want to get fixed instead of you
good luck + congrates

talk to an obgyn or family planning cousler about long term birth control methods untill u r able to decid eif tubaligation is right for u
birth controll methods out there are as follows
iud , nor plant is i belive a five year birth contorl thingy that they insert under your skin in your upper arm , theres deprover shot every 3 months , ten theres the birth control patcch and pills and condoms , there sis no 100 percent garanteee on these forms of birth controll but if used with a combination of condoms and a spermicidal foam your risk of becoming pg decreses the only one hundred percent fool proof way of not getting pg is abtence and both partners getting fixed

The only long term birth control would be a Norplant device; they put tubes in your arm, I think they can last for up to 5 years. Also, an IUD is a longer term birth control; I believe up to 1 year. I'm going to do the IUD after my baby's born.

Yes the noral plant (IUD) it last up to 5 years and they put it in your arm and the depo shot and a thing they put in you down there every 6 months so you can't get pregnant. Your OBGYN should know that one Congrats on your 4th I have 5 4 boys 15 1/2 11 9 7 and a 2 yr little girl whom is spoiled to death by the 5 men in her life but she still is a mommy's girl! Or have the Dad get fixed I made my hubby it's easier to reverse on a man then a women! God Bless you and yours!

No birth control method is 100% effective...that even includes some tubals, if they're not cauterized at all the ends they can heal and be back in working order within a year...

The mirena IUD is a good option. It lasts for as long as five years. You don't have to do anything except have it inserted. Another good thing about it is that some people don't have periods while they use it. I've had mine for four months, and I love it so far.

even though i dont feel comfortable about using one, i think an IUD is a good idea. (i just dont dont about having one put in) lol but if its an option u could try, i think its a good idea, but of course still use condoms to be more safe. people say the shot is a good idea, (every 3 months) but ive read different stories about it causing blood clots and problems for women so i dont recommend it.

I am in the same situation. I was on the depo shot previously and was very happy with it so that is what I am considering again. I only have to think about it every three monthes.
