I wanted to know what everyones out look on vaccines are. Do you vaccinate your children, why or why not? Have you researched vaccines or are you just making a society based desion? What do you think are the pro's and con's. ** I will start, I am VERY anit - vaccine, I used to not be and actually got my 14 month old son all of his vaccines up until he was 12 months. AT that appointmen the doc told me to make sure Kendetrick wasn't sick at his 15 month appointment because he was getting the MMR shot and it is liked to Autism! So, I started researching,- I research EVERYDAY possible, I have decided to NOT vaccinate my son further because the risks of the vaccine really outweigh the risks of him getting any of these 'childhood disease'. PLUS the ingrediants of vaccinations.MOST vaccines contain Mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde, aborted fetal cells, animal cells, ect... If you look at the death rates there are far more deaths from vaccines the there are from the disease we vaccinate against

I have been really nausiated lately, almost all day and all night; much more than usual but I havent thrown up. Although, I did throw up once but I only threw up flem. Not to be grose. I have sore brests, back and ribs pains that are not usual, lots of clear dicharge, my period isnt for another week and a half, can I be pregnant? Could I take a pregnancy test today or tomorrow and find out if I am pregnant?

Another note: I am on BC (extremely low dosage) and I started it 2 days late this month, he pulls out, we don't use protection, on 2 pills that have a high chance of canceling out the pill.

I'm a single mom to a 19 mo.old. I adore him, but as a first time mom, I'm unsure if he spends too much time around me? He'd much rather follow me into every room (bathroom too), instead of playing with his toys or watching a video. Some toddlers sit happily in front of a TV but mine doesn't. I prefer he not watch too much, but a little more space from him would also be nice at times. Even if we are sitting in his playroom, he jumps on me, makes smiley faces at me, does "toddler babble" at me, etc. If I get up to leave, even for a minute, he gets upset. It's cute but sometimes hard.

I work fulltime and he's in daycare, otherwise, I'm with him. I take him everywere I go since I also don't have family that can watch him. Sitters are expensive, but occasionally I know I probably need to have a night to myself since I never do anything alone.

Do more experienced moms feel that he is just being a typical toddler? Do we spend too much time together? I never want to neglect him.

now if the doctors say im 29 weeks going by the ultrasound does that mean they are also going by my LMP or the conception date?

What Im saying is, are the 2 weeks they usually add on because of your LMP aslo accounted for whan they determine how far along you are by the size of the baby?

my mom is like treating me like a baby. just beacuse i didn't go to sleep at 11 i have to go to bed at 8 tonite. yesterday i was supposed to but i didn't do it so she says i have to do it again tonite. i think its so stupid im planning on staying up later like yesterday. can't she see that this stupid punishment isn't working at all cause i don't really give, cause i have a ipod video, tv, comp, ps2, cable, and a fone all in my room. she said if i keep staying up later than 8 i will keep going to bed at 8 which i don't really care about since i have everything in my room to keep me entertained. do u think i should follow her rules tonite, or should i just keep breaking them. o and my mom just started disciplening like a week ago i don't think its working out for her. this is the first time for her to try to be discilpleneing me also. and im 13 almost 14 if that matters any. and she got really pissed last nite cause she thinks im all good and stuff but im really not. she was so confused

this is my third baby, and i've never had problems before. but this time i don't have any insurance and i'm still paying on the lab fees from the first set of blood tests. so i'm wondering if it's something i absolutely have to do or if there might be other ways to tell if diabetes is coming on?

I have a problem. I am enrolling in a 6 mo. residential program for alcohol. I will live there and the requirements are that I bring my child with me. I have been allowing my child to stay with her grandma-not my mom-because of some major issues where i am living. The problem I am having is that I am on a waiting list for this program. I have not told the grandma, for fear she will call CPS and try to get temporary custody since she will not want her to go to this program-which is completely safe and honestly a really great thing for us. I dont know what to do. When my time comes to go do I just go to the house and get her, I have full custody, since the father is a drug addict. Or should I give them notice and risk having her grandma try to take her legally?

This past Saturday I was told by 2 older women (maybe 60's or so) rather aggressively that it was inappropriate to bring my 7 yr. old son into the woman's changing room at a community pool where he and his two sisters aged 8 and 11 were also taking lessons.
I am by no means an alarmist but I do have concerns with my son being alone in the men's changing room. There is a chance, regardless of how remote, that he could be exposed to a sexual predator or even a victim of kidnapping.
I am amazed that these woman had no regard for my concern and somehow felt that the presence my young son who can barely read or write was similar to sexual harassment. One woman went so far as to say that allowing my son to be in the woman's changing room was "near child abuse!"
I felt attacked and misunderstood.
My instinct to protect my child from potential harm was viewed by these women as some sort of sordid sexual experience I was forcing my child to participate in. How wrong.

I have recently become pregnant with my boyfriend. I found out about a week and a half ago. Oh and by the way...im 17. My boyfriend is a year older and when I started to tell him the news.. he proposed!! I love him so much so I said yes and then told him. He is in just as big a shock as I am because ofcouse, we were being safe for our FIRST TIME! well anyway I think im pretty set on having this baby because i've always aspired to have babies..i guess i just wasn't expecting to have it this early. well anyway i just would like to know what you guys think..am i to young??
me and my bf have enough money for a house, i will be able to complete school before the baby comes, bf has a good paying job, and we have enough money to support ourselves and the baby..plus our parents were mad but have let us known that they love us and support whatever we want to do. Am I to young? are their any teen mothers to tell me their experiences? I will let you know how this this all turns out in my blog.

She is in the 90%ile, so it's not my own view of "average", please let me say to begin with. I don't keep unhealthy snacks in the house, and since having lost nearly 50lbs. of my own in the last couple years I only cook low fat/cal healthy meals for my family. I also exercise at least 4x per week and make it a point to let her know what I am doing to try to set an example of pursuing a healthy lifestyle. Her biggest problems that I recognize are 1) genetics; her dad is overweight himself, as is both sides of our families, 2) lack of physical activity on her part and 3) lack of support of her dad's part (we are divorced). I've charted her height/weight percentages & BMI and shown this to him to put it in black & white that she has a problem & we need to work together on this. But he continues to bring her to fast food places, buy her whatever junk food in the store she wants, and doesn't encourage her to go out to play when she is with him. How do I get him on board with my efforts?
