it's true ,because they listen to the words. and if they hear something that they relate to, then they might get sad and change their ways physically and mentally.

I don't think that's completely true. I do agree that high energy music can make someone feel more energized. Think about it - if you're cleaning, don't you put on some favorite music to make it less of a chore? The same thing with classical music - it makes me feel kind of mellow....
If you're thinking that if a teenager listens to rock music - like Kiss or Judas Priest - and that's going to make him do drugs or kill himself, I think that's a little over the top. I was watching a comedian one time who said "If your kid blows his brains out over something Gene Simmons says, then you S*CK as a parent!" I think that's the truth! Kids who have stable homelives and parents who actually spend time with them and who care are less likely to do dumb things like that.

I tend to believe that whatever a child's feeling makes them listen to music that enhances those feelings. I know when I am sad, I tend to listen to sad music.. not that I am sad because I listening to sad music.. make sense?

I don't necessarily agree with that. My kids listen to rap and that type of, in my opinion, garbage. But they don't do the things that the music portrays. It's just music.
I like some of the rap myself (the lighter stuff) to listen to when I clean the house. Gets me moving faster.

music has a huge impact on kids. the kind of music and the content in music will teach that what ever it is is ok. take rock music for example, it teaches kids that drinking, doing drugs, having sex, and all kinds of other things are ok. this is why I hate rock music.

This is really in reply to that guy (didn't bother to read the name)
I have been listening to music about drugs, sex, violence, murder, all that since I was young.
I don't do drugs. Don't have sex. Don't fight, and have yet to have homocidal thoughts.
Why? Because my parents made it clear that it is WRONG.
It isn't MUSIC corupting kids, it's parents not bothering to teach them.
(And 2 of my friends HATE rock, rap, all that. But they are drug addicts and neither made it to 15 as a virgin. Why? Because their parents are terrible parents.
