Pregnancy & Parenting - 12 January 2007

my 2 1/2 year old son. And I don't. He keeps saying that if we don't spank him he will walk all over us. I just think that hitting results in hitting. Plus when he spanks my son my son comes and hits me for it, because he is mad that I am allowing daddy to spank him I guess. What should I do about this? Do you think that my husband is wrong? I don't say anything in front of my son when he gets spanked by his Dad (like don't do that or how could you so my son is not hearing things like that) Any opinions and help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How can nipple stimulation induce labor and does it work? If it does work how (twisting them?)do you stimulate the nipples and for how long? I'm desperate. I would rather not have to drink castor oil, that kinda scares me.

My son is 3 months old. He is pretty congested. He does not have a fever or a cough. He is in a pretty good mood. I have tried putting him in a steamy bath with baby Vics vapor rub. This helped a lot but only for a few hours. I have sucked the stuff out with that horrable blue thing that he absoluly hates. But he is still all stopped up. He is not sleeping well because he likes to suck his thumb while sleeping and to get to sleep but can't because he can't breath out of his nose. Any ideas of things that have worked for you? This is my first and it is just me so I'm new and any advice would be great I just want him to feel better! Thank you!

I just found out I'm pregnant-4 weeks actually. With my daughter I was sick 24/7 for 6 months. I'm trying to get prepared for the "in case I get sick again" by stocking up on the right foods. Here lies my problem. I know the type of foods to eat but need more full meal ideas. They need to be better for my nausea and something that my family can have too. Any recipe ideas?

I live in Colorado and i do not know what to do to start home schooling. Does it cost money? What papers do i need to fill out? My son is very hyper active and i feel that the teachers he has had so far don't give him the attention he needs to really learn and pass. So any help webpages something would be great!!

i know this rule does not apply to every family. but lately i've spending time with different families and it seems mine included that the first born tend to be smarter and more together than their siblings. any insight on this phenomenon? i'm looking for all posibilities not just common knowledge such as the first born babies get more attention because they are the first and this facilitates more faster growth and learning creating the foundation of their intelligence.
one out of the box idea i had is that generally speaking when a woman has her first baby she is more likely to be physiologically at her peak and when she has her second or third, her body may have hit a threshold and consequently underperform having an affect on the childs DNA. just a thought. i'm just curious to know what everyone else thinks.

My Doctor recently perscribed me Clomid to help my husband and I conceive our first child. I don't want to feel like I am going against God's plan... I want a child really bad but it seems like I have more and more obstacles to go through the more my husband and I try.. My sister got pregnant with Clomid and she had triplet's at 7 months and her and the girls almost died, in fact we lost one of the girls when she was three months old. I am so terrified of going through the same thing. I don't know if I should just not try as hard and see if it happens or take the Clomid that the doctor gave me and take that risk.

I had a boyfriend who ended up in juvie. He is there now and will leave here in about 2 weeks. He says he loves me. There's another guy at school (I'm 16, in high school, by the way) who doesn't like me, but wants to have sex with me (he's for the most part blatantly said all this). I, being 16, sort of do want to give in to both the guy who "loves" me and the guy who wants to get physical, but I'm not sure that I'm ready for either. I'm still kinda into the guy in juvie, but I'm not sure that I'm ready to say "I love you" to someone at such a young age. Basically, it's really hard not to give in to love and sex even though I question their morality. How do I stay strong through all this? Or do I go ahead and give in? How did you (or are you currently) make it through your teen years?

Is this wrong.. okay, I'm not a bully, never have been.. I am pretty popular.. 6th period, there's this girl, she's like HUGE, short, and her butt is bigger than her whole body.. she has acne and a point nose.. i'm sorry, but this is true.. and like I never really talked to her or was mean to her until EVERYONE in the class started being mean to her and saying things like, 'where'd you get your jacket? Walmart?' and 'It was so much better when you weren't here' and my boy jr were saying "Do you want to give rey a bl.ow.job" and "is your cherry popped" and she said YEAH, I guess she didn't know what it meant.. but is this mean of me to do this..?? I feel bad.. but I don't want to be the only one not doing it.. I'm in 8th grade.

because the worse opposite right in front of them because of history and wars going on now. They cant settle their problems just by talkin, so many parents out there should not be pro war. If they were pro-war what kind of influence are they making on their children? What do you think?
