I have chosen not to breastfeed my child when she arrives, but is it possible to breastfeed at first, maybe for a few days then change to bottle? or would it be better to bottle feed right from the start? Just i hear that the first milk is very good for baby's immune system. Thanks x

I was living with my daughter's father in Alabama for the begining of my pregnancy. The first fight we got into, he took off & went to Texas. He's been living with his family completely living off of them since then. He has started school stating he wants to make something of himself for his daughter's sake. He was not here for her birth & never called to see if she was born. A week after her birth I called him. His aunt flew us down there to visit for 4 days. My daughter is now 2 months old. He states he loves us & wants to be with us but keeps making excuses as to why he cannot. I am not interested in a relationship with him, just want him to be a part of his daughter's life. I have gone from sleeping on a friends couch to having my own place. It's a continuos struggle with NO financial help from him. Financial help would be great but I more want him to be a father. How do I get him to understand that he can't keep putting her off. I want him to stop acting like a "SPERM DONOR".

As ive said before i have a 4 year old son who is VERY attached to Ashley, who is a girl ie been fooling around with for almost 5 months now. Three days ago her and I decided we should stop seeing each other and we talked to my son about how she wouldnt be around anymore because shes busy and were "breaking up". For the past 3 days he has done nothing but cry and scream and ask for her. I think hes depressed (if a child can be) but its not just him, Ashley who was just as attached to him has been very sad and depressed (said a mutual friend) I dont know if i should let her come around him or if i should just let it go and hope they both get over it. What do you think ?

by the way my sons mom left us a long time ago and he has called ashley mommy a few times, but quickly corrected himself.

I had to find something to discipline the kids in my household.
An old gentleman down the street suggested i needed to get me a "Cattle Prod" and just give the kids a good jolt from it everytime they even looked like they were going to act up.

At first i thought this old dude was crazy. But, after dealing with unruly teenagers, i figured i'd give it a try. Went and bought one, have used it a couple of times each on all 8 kids age 8-17.

It apparently works, because my kids have never got out of line one time since. The wife has quit her nagging too. My concern is, could their be longterm side effects from using this on a person.

I am not planning on breastfeeding for various reasons, health and otherwise. However, I've had some people tell me that I'll need to for a short while as newborn babies can't suck on a rubber nipple right away as it's too hard. Is this true?

2 weeks ago I was told I was having a boy, I couldn't be more excited and thrilled. I have 3 girls. Then today at my Level 2 Ultrasound I got confirmation of a girl. I cried...ALOT! Is this normal, I feel terrible. Do you think I will be just as good a mother to my daughter? I dont know, I'm so confused.

I konw its wrong. But some people are aguing that it is right and if you abort the uborn child. You're only killing the physical body but not the soul and the soul will born into another physical body into another family.

Isn't that reincartion. They don't even know for sure that reincarnation is true. Why don't they just put the child up for adoption, that way they know the soul is alive in the world.

Like pets. I don't care if the dog licks my face off, I don't trust any kind of animal around or alone with my children. What about you? My husband thinks it's okay. People have dead children that way.

My son is 9 months old and weighs 15 lbs. The doctor told me to put him on formula to gain weight, but I've tried formula on him before and he won't take it. I've switched brands and I'm currently trying this other brand and he still won't take it. I wondered if my breastmilk could be mixed with the formula until he gets used to the formula. The doctor said that if my son doesn't gain a significant amount of weight within the next month, he will have to go to the hospital. Please help. Thank you.
