I just found out last night that my 3 1/2 month old is protein intollerent last night. Hes on special formula now along with Zantac for GERD. Does anyone know if he will possibly outgrow the condition? Im waiting to get into the doctors office with my son so questions havent been answered.

Gerd improves alot at 6 months or when your baby is sitting more, It should be gone by 12 months. My son used Alimentum for a few months because he had bad GERD but it did not help him. Best of luck.

Possibly He might just have a hard time starting out hopefully it'll get better just like some kids grow of of being lactose intollerant or having asthma so yes there is a possibility for himt o get better as his gastric instestinal system gets better he might become tolerant of proteins later

I had a sensitivity to fomula when i was an infant and had to be on a special kind... i'm fine now though and i'm 26. Don't think I could ever drink the regular formula as an infant though.
