i used the depo provera once in 2002 and for the second time july 2006 ive been off it 4 months now i have had light periods here and there,i have been trying to get pregnant with my boyfriend and i now think i am i have yet to do a pregnancy test,but after everything i have read about how hard it is to fall pregnant after being on the depo im starting to doubt it would be possible for me to get pregnant so soon after coming off the depo,am i wrong or has someone out there got pregnant very soon after being on the depo?

I was only on depo for a year at a time, and I got pregnant after about 3 or 4 months of being off.... Worked 3 times! Although I am not going to go back on it due to med. issues with it. Good luck and keep your fingers crossed... It can happen!

Depo tells your body it's pregnant, that is why you usually don't get a period for 9 months. It is harder to get pregnant right after going off. If you went off in 7/06, your body is still thinking it is 6 months pregnant right now. I would wait a bit, call your doctor too.

I also am having the same problem,,mt Dr. has put me on clomid i have taken it for 2 months and have yet to get pregnant. I am sorry for your frustration but i would go to the Dr. i took the depo once ,,last July,,,but i have yet to have a period yet...but the Dr. tells me to have faith with the medication i am taking it will happen soon,,,only fall back is i may have more than one baby. but that is OK with me

It is possible that you can become prgnant after being off it for only 4 months. In some cases girls can not become pregnant not even a year after they been off it. In my case its been 2 years. If you are pregnant girl you are lucky and best wishes to you.

depo takes approx. 6 month to 9months to really get out of your system. also if you trying to get pregnant try to start taking folic acid and prental vitamins if your doctor agrees.
