I am full term, I have been to the hospital with contractions but they stopped on there own and I was sent home that was over a week ago. I have tried lots of sex thats not working, I tried walking alot but know it is becoming more painful due to this large baby inside of me. Nipple stimulation has not worked either. I dont know what else to do my doctor is not in any rush to induce me. But honestly I can not take it any more the back aches are KILLING ME. The baby has dropped, I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks ago, I have startd to dilate but not soften yet HELP PLEASE.

this is not my first child. Both of my other children were late as well but my doctor wont induce until 42 weeks and I was just wanted some other kinds of advice just in case I missed something.

after you are 42 weeks along they should have checked your water pockets this is what they call the free flowing water that is around the baby other then that it is time to demand if you have reached 42 weeks i had to with my first i was very miserable like you are and was 2 weeks over due and finally told my doctor look its time i know inducing can be hard but i am done and just stuck to my guns and so he finally gave in ask him why he does not want to induce you yet and if the reason is valid like your only 41 weeks or he knows inducement can take a lot longer then natural tell him you understand but are ready and see what he says! good luck!!! hopefully not to much longer hang in there!!

As hard as it is to hear this, you just have to wait it out. I felt the same way with my oldest son. He was a big baby too and I was miserable. My Dr eventually induced me when I was 5 days overdue with him. Nothing worked to help get things moving on my own. I know it's annoying. I have been there. But it won't last forever. You will be holding that little bundle before you know it. Good luck hon & I wish you the very best. I hope things start happening for you very soon!!

I'm sorry, honey, but there is nothing anybody else can do. Or you. Talk to your doctor. If he's not in any hurry to induce you, then there's no danger to you or the baby.
It sucks. I know, but there's nothing you can do, which doesn't help, either, I'm sure. I'd tell you to have patience, but that won't help either, especially since you're so miserable. Good luck.

i know it's hard when you are over due and you just want your baby out, but you need to just relax. your baby will come. stop focusing so much on how you are going to get your baby out and get your rest. you need it for when you do go into labor. maybe if you stop stressing out so much and just hang out on the couch or in bed, if you can your, aches and pains won't be as bad. it will soon be over and you will be holding your precious baby in your arms. i hope you have an easy and safe delivery.

Go to bed and sleep for two days....you are working too hard, you wont have any energy left to finish this delivery! I know you are uncomfortable. but it will be soon...relax and try and enjoy your last few days of solitude.

unfortunatly the other 2 answers are right - the baby will come when he/she is ready. besides you don't want to rush him/her and risk a complication. with that said...i have heard that spicy foods like mexican can help.

Call the DR and DEMAND an induction. If the baby is fullterm and you are that miserable you deserve some relief. I know how you feel honey.
