Pregnancy & Parenting - 9 January 2007

Here's the situation:

- Had intercouse beginning of the month
- Had menstrual period third week of the month

Is it still possible to get pregnant from that intercouse?

* One month after the intercouse, my girlfriend has been fussing about it. She saying that she hasn't gained wait. But, her waist and belly part are widening/expanding.

We did everything "right". My 19 month old never slept with a bottle, never slept in our bed, and always had a consistant bedtime. The past few weeks she has learned to crawl out of her crib, even with the rail all the way up. She screams and screams when it is bedtime, and wont go to sleep unless we are in there too. I try to let her "cry it out" but it is too exhusting after an hour and a half. What is worse, once she does get to sleep she wakes up at about 2 or 3 am and does the same routine. We are so tired and just dont know what to do! How did you handle this situation and what was the outcome?

Have you ever had to clean up someone else's child after they wet or messed their pants?

Maybe you were babysitting the child when they had an accident. Perhaps they were a playmate of your own child visiting your house. Or maybe you were helping at a birthday party. Or possibly you work with children.

Did you mind having to change someone else's child? Was it worse than cleaning up your own child? How did the child feel? How did their parents react when they heard you had had to clean up their son or daughter?

I am just wondering, I know all pregnancies are unique experiences, but am wondering if you parents have had similar reactions to you subsequent pregnancies.

Actually I play a lot of Scrabble at Scrabulous - http://www.scrabulous.com - and find it very relaxing after I come home. The people are so nice and there is always fun and humor in the lobby. And I simply love Scrabble.

My wife loves Scrabble too but hasn't played it online, so is there any harm if she tries a few games? Will it help her destress?

I have heard oppposing arguements in regards to this. My friends doc said it is fine and mine said every now and then. ( I mean tuna for sandwhiches, not the steak, I know that is bad. What have other pregnant woman been told? I am curious. Thank you!!!

My work is really strict, and i need my job to support myself and my unborn child ( im not married). Anyway i woke up with a sore throat, Im only 10 weeks along. The paper my doctor gave me said if you sick before 12 weeks, try to rest, and drink plenty of fluids so you dont take any medicines which are bad. Anyway im feeling really sluggish and i woke up with a sore throat, so i just called in sick. its a very physcial job so resting is impossible there. Also i have 9 sick days left to use til july ( Out of 11 total) . so did i do the right thing?

Cut her two bottem teeth back in october. Now she is trying to cut he top teeth and she makes a grinding noise with her teeth. The dentist here wont see kids till they are 1. Is the grinding normal and what can I do to make sure her teeth stay as healthy as possible? Thanks

he is not fat, he is long and fit. 100% in both catagories. he is smart and amazing but i get a little concerned when people are shocked that he is only 3 months old. both of us parents are under 6 feet. im 5`4. is there somthing wrong? i dont feed him too much. i checked. he sits up on his own somtimes and can do lots of really cool things tat a 5 month old does but hes not!!

I am 26 years old and I will be chaperoning my 18 year old cousin's "Senior Beach Week". There will be 3 girls (including my cousin) and 4 boys. They rented a house in Duck, NC on the beach.

Supposedly it's a good group of kids and they're not into drinking and partying. But I still want to be prepared... any tips for a first time chaperone?

I am considering using cloth diapers when my son is born. Can anyone tell me their positive and negative experiences with them? Besides being economical, I like the fact that they are natural. My son is almost 11 months old and he's still not sleeping thru the nite. If he's in bed by nine (after eating) he wakes up anywhere from either one a.m. to 4 a.m. wanting to eat again. I have 6 year old twins who were sleeping thru the nite at 3 months (thank my lucky stars)!! What can I do?!? I'm 2 months pregnant and I need my sleep, seriously.
