That depends on how early the ultrasound is.
Ultrasounds taken very early can be very accurate, and can actually match up with traditional methods of figuring a due date. The further you get in pregnancy, however, the less likely you're getting an accurate date on an ultrasound (that's why my "due date" changed by 20 days throughout pregnancy... the earlier calculations are most likely to be correct)

Ultrasound, although due dates are JUST a guide and should not be taken as the day that your baby will arrive!
More often than not though, the ultrasound will back up the lmp estimate :)

Ultrasounds done in the first 12 weeks are very accurate and usually within 3 days of conception so they should definantly be used or lmp if done early in pregnancy.
