This might be a good time to explain to him that a lot of blind people could see once. There's no reason, in my mind, that they wouldn't be able to "see" in their dreams.
I don't know about you, but most of my dreams that I remember are kind of otherworldly. They can contain situations or scenes that have never happened and are unlikely or impossible to ever happen. For example, I've never lived in a bus, but I have a recurring dream that I do. If I can have a dream where something that I've never done seems like an everyday occurance, it seems like someone who can't physically see could see in their dreams.
Have you ever had a dream about someone you know, and in your dream they look nothing like they do in real life, but you don't question who they are in your dream? It could be something like that.
Even those of us who have 20/20 vision don't dream in reality. It stands to reason that blind people don't either, and since their reality is blindness, their unreality is being able to see.

I was once told that some bind people CAN see in their dreams. I assume this would be the ones who weren't born blind

I read in a Highlights article 15 years ago that blind people can't neccessarliy "see" in their dreams, but rather they "feel" their dreams. If they dream of something slimy, they may perceive as something soft, gooey, or squishy.

wow, that is one of the most profound questions I have ever heard! I have no idea what dreams must be like to someone who was born blind.. I guess it depends on whether or not dreams are just based on our experiences..

It depends on if the person is blind from birth or if they lost their vision later in life. If they were blind from birth then no, they do not see in their dreams but they often do if they lost their vision later in life.

It would depend if the person has always been blind or not. Someone who has always been blind will not see things in his head the way a sighted person would..but they would see it how they alone perceive it.

This question has been asked about ten times in the past week, check the archives.
Yes blind people see in their dreams, they have the same kind of dreams the able bodied do .
I see this question anymore I'm going to start reporting people for abuse.

It depends. If they've been blind since birth then usually no they don't know what things look like. They see in other senses like hearing and smell.

Yes because they have an imagination. Even if they don't have the right understanding of the objects they see they the can still imagine the way they look.
