I want to know what you think the best baby book out there is. I love reading to my baby, and need new sugestions.

Ok here is the thing, my friend and i are both pregnant, im 35 weeks and shes 36 weeks. well just recently she was telling me that her breasts were starting to leak, i tryed to get her to use the breast pad things, because thats what i use and they are really good. but she was asking me if it would be harmful or bad for her to use her breast pump. im not sure how much shes leaking, she didnt say that, but i tryed telling her that it would prolly be best to wait until the baby is born. do you guys think that i was right or would it be safe for her to use her pump? to me it just seemed like it wouldnt be a good idea. but she is pretty much insisting on useing it. thanks for the help guys :)

I'm 36 wks and figured it's time to buy a nursing bra, but arent my boobs going to get bigger once the milk comes in? SO what size should I buy? Right now i'm a 36 c. Should I wait till after the milk is in? Any good brands or types you know about?

I'm 34 weeks and 5 days, I have had this mucus like discharge thats clear but with a yellow tint is that my mucus plug? I went to the hospital 2 weeks ago and I was 50%effaced, they have been able to feel her head for about a month and a half. Does all this mean i could have the baby early? One of my doctors says I wont see my due date and my other doctor acts like he has no clue whats going on..... I'm so confused this is my first pregnancy and i'm so tired of not knowing anything....

My son sleeps best (all night) in his swing, and though it is not moving (we don't turn it on) I am having major guilt! The swing is a cradle swing and he loves to be reclined like that. He hates being on his back. We are trying some nights in the crib, and he wakes us every hour at least. I usually end up putting him back in the swing because I am so tired. Anyone have this experience? On the one hand, I am glad he can get a good night's sleep, on the other, I worry that it's not good for his developement. Yikes! Help, anyone?

I am 7 months pregnant with twins and it's my first time. Since it's twins, I might have to go in early for delivery. Can anyone tell me what all I am supposed to pack in the bag? For example, how many clothes do I have to pack for my babies and what other stuff for myself and the babies do I have to take?

My boss has one child who is 9 months. Ever since she had her daughter, she has been missing AT LEAST one day a week from work. It is always last minute notice too. She says she has to stay home and watch her daughter since her mother (who is the child's caretaker) goes out of town, gets sick, needs a day off, etc.

However, when I asked her to take a half day because I has something important to do, she told me "she would have to think about it" even though I gave 2 weeks notice. I have vacation time and I need the 1/2 day to go to the doctor because I am pregnant, but I didn't want to announce it yet.

If anyone in our office has to take care of their children, my boss says they need to find a reliable daycare or they may lose their job!

Her supervisor (the CEO) is not here enough to understand the situation. Plus my supervisor is on salary, so she has not kept track of her time off and not docked pay!

Why is she the exception? If I pulled this I would be fired!

If you raise your kids in a way that is healthy then there is no reason to fear that Child Protective Services will take them away from you. If you do fear that, maybe you need to re-evaluate your parenting.

I don't spank and have very well behaved children. I refuse to parent my kids with the cloud of CPS hanging over my head. Anybody else?

I am asking because I received an answer to a previous question about parents worrying so much about what others think of their parenting, the answer basically said you have to worry about it because of CPS...i personally think that is bull****.

Where can I find out facts about what is proven to be better, for a child to stay home with a parent or have a babysitter/nanny for your child at a very young age (under one) Does anyone know any studies done. What effects does it have on child development if he is with a babysitter?

We just find out that our daughter is going to have a baby, but she needs to quit her currant job as a Vet Tech, because she's around stuff that can harm her baby's development. She's only 2mths into her pregnancy. Now she's looking for a new job my concern is will they hire her? And what should she be do in the mean time about health Ins., because once she quits her job she won't have health ins.?

I been off birthcontrol since Nov. I'v had 2 full periods that were normal and regular. I was on birthcontrol for 2 years. I have 2 other children, that I had no problem getting pregnant with. And this was the first time I was ever on the pill. I did the ovulating thing, have sex 4 times a week. Not sure what else it could be. I do have Hpv and I've had it for 2 years, Im not sure if its progressed on not, but I do know that it hasnt gone away. and I read that hpv doesnt interfer with getting pregnant. it just seems when I didnt want to get pregnant it happened and now that I do it wont happen. Should I just give it time, and if it still doesnt happen see my dr.?

The story is ... My teen "friend" told me in September that she was pregnant. Then a week or so later, she told me that she lost the baby (bleeding a lot). The next time I talked to her, which was about a week later, she said she was pregnant again. I thought it sounded kind of weird, but I let it fly. Then yesterday she text messaged me with something like "I had the baby!!" I didn't realize until this morning in the bus that it meant that the baby had to be of fourth months. I know it's nine months for a full pregnancy, but is there the least bit of possibilty that this is true? I asked her where she was and that I wanted to go and visit, and she went off on me. Now I realized that something IS wrong about this situation. I'm going to play along for now and see if she comes out and tells me that she's lieing (if she is). I called the hosiptal and asked to conect me to her room, and the operator said "There's no patient by that name." She's lieing isn't she? Help!
