A baby feeder is generally a mesh holder in the shape of a pacifier. They are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. A baby will suck on them and not only not be expecting solid food, it will allow food to be in the back of the mouth before a baby is capable of swallowing. Babies lack the ability to move food back with their tongue until they are developmentally ready to swallow it. And even in an experienced eater if the food is sucked too far back, or too hard it can cause choking.

Are you talking about a "baby safe feeder?"

It's a mesh feeding bag that you can put solid foods into for baby to chew on. It prevents them from choking on big pieces.
