not unless there is a lot of cramping and the bleeding is severe, not just spotting. If you are concernd though go to the hospital,, they will be able to tell you.

It could mean that you're losing the baby but don't panic yet. I had the exact same thing at 10 weeks. I woke up one morning with red spotting that lasted a few hours. I called the doctor and was totally freaked out. They had me come in right away and checked me then sent me for an ultrasound. The ultrasound turned out totally normal and nothing was wrong with the baby. I'm 17 weeks now and it might help you to know that someone else has been there.
The doctor couldn't offer much of an explanation as to why I had the spotting but I learned that when the placenta takes over and the yolk sac dissolves usually around 10-12 weeks there can sometimes be light spotting. If you are really worried about it I would urge you to call the doctor. It wasn't until I saw the baby on ultrasound that I felt better. I can understand your worry and concern for your little one. If the doctor can't see you then go to the emergency room...they may be able to see you for an ultrasound. Good Luck!

i started bleeding bright red blood for about a day in the beginning of this pregnancy... probably around 9 weeks. I FREAKED OUT b/c i never had that with my first pregnancy. I called my doc and they reassured me that as long as I wasnt having severe cramping and wasn't bleeding A LOT, then i was fine. This went away after about 12 hours or so but I spotted brown blood off and on for the next few days. It is very scary but just try to relax. I am 34 weeks pregnant now and have a healthy baby very soon.

First of, make an appointment to see your doctor ASAP. I started spotting when I was 10 weeks pregnant and had a miscarriage 3 days later. It was my first time. Red spotting doesn't necessarily mean you r going to lose the baby. My mom spotted all 9 months when she was pregnant with my brother and he was a healthy boy.I am pregnant again and when I was 8 weeks I started to spot and was worried sick that I was going to lose my baby again but my doc said it was just the old blood that my uterus was getting rid of. I m now 27 weeks and haven't had that problem since. Good luck and pls do see your doctor ASAP.

Bright red spotting in pregnancy isn't a good sign, but it doesn't necessarily mean you are losing the baby. There could be something else going on. You have to call your doctor, and they will likely tell you to go to the ER.
Good luck. I wish you the best.

Call your doctor immediately.
It doesn't necessarily mean you're losing your baby. This happened to me , I freaked out , and I just had a yeast infection! Baby was fine!
Good Luck and God Bless You.
