It depends on your cycle. What you should do, is keep track of your cycle for a few months. The most fertile days are the 6 that are in the very middle. That is the MOST fertile time, but you can get pregnant at almost any time after your period with the exception of the first 2 days before it, and the first 2 days after it ends.

It usually takes 2 weeks after you start you period. That is when you usually ovulate, but women are different. I learned about a technique you can use to know when you ovulate. After you finish your period get a themometer and put it next to your bed. Every morning before you get up and move around, take your temp. Now when you notice an increase in your temp, those are the days you are ovulating. The ovulation only lasts 2 or 3 days so have you baby making jump ready lol. Oh the technique is called basil body temp. My doctor told me about it and it helped me. But good luck with it!

After you ovulate you will always start your period 14-15 days after you ovulate, so subtract 15 days from when you started your current period and that is how many days you should have until you ovulate. btw female sperm lasts up to 72 hrs where as male sperm only 48 max.

Here is what finally worked for me... (I'm 4 months pregnant!) This is what my doctor told me. I knew the day I started my period, and then on the 8th day after, the 10th day after and the 12th day after we had sex. Sperm can survive for 24 hours, so there is no real need to have sex everyday. (but I'm sure it doesn't hurt either) GOOD LUCK
