The reason Curry, spicy foods, or castor oil works is because it upsets the bowels. Lots of bowel activity can lead to muscle contractions, and this may make your uterus contract as well. These things won't work unless you're just about to go into labor anyway. And then what you'll end up with is a stomach ache, nausea, and/or diarrhea on top of dealing with labor contractions. Not Fun!

Curry is a spice that can be made into a sauce to put on noodles, rice, meat or veggies.

I actually went into labor on my due date eating Thai spicy veggie curry. I didn't even know at the time about this old wives' tale, but I guess you could say it worked for me! Side note: my best friend tried it, and it did not work, nor did castor oil. I guess everyone is different!

It is not a foolproof method, it works for some but not everyone, my labour coach told me to try scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees as in the olden days it seemed to work often! I tried but I guess I didn't scrub hard enough! Just try it it is worth a try!

no, nothing will bring on labor unless your body is ready, the most common thing is sex, but that is because semen has prostoglandin in it which will ripen your cervix, but other than that nothing works.
