Pregnancy & Parenting - 30 December 2006

My son is 27 months old, and I can't seem to get him to get rid of his pacifier. He only uses it at nap time and bed time, but if he doesnt have it at those times, it is completely impossible to get him to sleep. I dont believe in letting him cry it out, so that is out of the question. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

My due date is the 5th of January and at my last apt on Friday I was still at 1 cm. I am ready for this baby to come. I have the BH alot but are not regular, and have had a week of diarrhea and some cramping but still no water breaking or have not lose mucous plug. What can I do to get myself in labor? I am just tired. Thanks

ok so i have been irregular since the 6th grade. ill skip either a month or up to ten months. my doctor discovered that i have sist on my ovaries. he pu tme on birth control pills to ragulate my period. but, after two months i jus got off of it. so am i still like able to have kids? or do i have a lesser chance to get pregnant?

I missed three of my birth control pills this month ... but i always took it the next day when i forgot. Me and my boyfriend have sex often and my birth control is the only form of protection we use. Now i'm scared that I may be pregnant. My breasts have been sore for a couple weeks and when I went to the doctors about 4 days ago they did a test and it was negative. I know I could be worrying for nothing, but I'm kind of nervous.

She doesn't really have small toys yet like the polly pockets but she does have lots of games and puzzels and books and right now they're just all crammed on a book shelf. I need a nicer looking, more sensical way to put her toys away

i woke up this morning around 3 am and i was crampin really bad... im having contractions every 15-20 minutes, because i was starting freaking out my husband send me to the hospital to get checked, i was about to be admitted but the doctor says that if i can still walk and walk to dilate i can go home and come back in the afternooon or whenever i feel the contractions are getting closer. right now im still having the same intensity of contractions but it was irregular... what should i do? does it happens to you?

My daughter is 6 1/2 weeks old and she wakes up at night every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. She was 7 lbs 1 oz when she was born and now she is 12 lbs!!! She is getting so big! I gave up breastfeeding after 2 weeks, so she has been on formula. Online it says that every baby is different, but what are the signs that she needs it?? She has been eating a lot (3-4 onces every 2 1/2 - 3 hrs). Can I give it to her now? I spoke with another mom at the store and she told me that she started her son on it at 3 weeks. Please if anyone has any advice....

i'm only going on 4 days overdue, but i feel like i'm a month pastdue. its driving me nuts. not only being really uncomfortable, i want to be able to see the baby. i guess this is more of a vent than a question, bc i'm sure this is normal by all means. what did you do to pass the time and keep your mind off of it? i've been told all kinds of ways to naturally induce, but i'm too scared. its just driving me nuts to wait any longer!

Theres this guy in my grade(10th) who is so annoying. He picked on me last year and I beat him up last year. This year I have gotten to know him alot better. I apologized for beating him up but hes the most annoying boy on the planet. He sits next to me in Science class and eavesdrops on my friend and mines conversation. He sometimes picks on me but sometimes he and I have actual conversations. Other times he is a pain in the butt. if I put my head down on my desk he slams his hand on my desk and goes wake up! I was turned around talking to my friend during free time and had my feet up. The boy goes and unties my shoelaces and then smiles about it. Err hes an annoyance. I feel like I hate him but sometimes I feel like I like him. Im confused!

My son is very bright - but chooses not to do well in school. He is also getting multiple detentions. I am putting him in an after school program to help with homework and he is in counseling. But I get frustrated and don't know what to do to help him. I feel as if I actualy need to stop trying to help him and "fall on his face". Maybe then he will "wake up and smell the coffee". I also have an 11 yo and 5 yo and the stress the 13 yo is causing me is of course effecting my relationship with them and I don't believe this is fair to them. my 21 month year old son fights me on going to bed, and the only way i can get him to sleep is if i put him in his bed and shut the door, he'll run to the door cry for a little while and go back to his bed and fall asleep, i hate doing this, but thats the only way to get him to sleep, other wise he would be up all night long, my boyfriend works 3rd shift and i work second shift so if i let him stay awake til hes just to tired to stand i wouldnt get any sleep and i wouldnt be able to do anything the next day, once hes fallen asleep i do open the door, but do you think that im being a horrible mother for doing that?
