i'm only going on 4 days overdue, but i feel like i'm a month pastdue. its driving me nuts. not only being really uncomfortable, i want to be able to see the baby. i guess this is more of a vent than a question, bc i'm sure this is normal by all means. what did you do to pass the time and keep your mind off of it? i've been told all kinds of ways to naturally induce, but i'm too scared. its just driving me nuts to wait any longer!

Just be thankful. I had my son 9 weeks early, and when he did come out, I didn't get to see him for 24 hours or hold him for 3 days. I'd trade places with you any day. Try packing and unpacking your bags. Or, you could try to excersise or make love to make the baby hurry up and get there. Sleep a lot. It makes the time go by fast, and that way you'll have energy for labor. Walking makes gravity push the baby downward. Practice lamaze tech\niques. Do wordfinds. Just enjoy your time being free. Congrats and Goodluck!

Oh gosh, I remember those days! I have an eight month old now but I was overdue by just two days and I about lost my mind!
Hang in there. In a very short while you are going to have your baby and you won't be able to remember what it was like beforehand...at least for a while:)
Right now you are probably feeling a bit out of control because you can't predict when the baby will decide to make his/her way into the world.
I would go to a little italian bakery in my neighborhood and just people watch. I'd bring along my bad of paper and jot down things I wanted to do before the baby arrived and after. I probably wrote down a zillion baby names (eventhough we had already decided on the ones we wanted).
Just try to relax. Meditate. Take a bath. Do your nails. Do your hair and makeup. Focus on what you are about to do. It's amazing!
Congratulations to you and good luck! Being pregnant was such an amazing time for me and I can't wait to do it again and have another baby:)
SLEEP NOW WHILE YOU CAN SISTER!

I feel you my first baby was right on time and the other two were late one was 9 days and he was 11lbs imagine carring that around (I am only about 125lbs normal weight) and the other was 6 days late not as big but a good size. With the second one I tried everyting in the book to get him out but he came out eventually, I actually had sex and then went right in to labor but I think it was just coincidence. Just try to kick back with lots of pillows and some magazines I know the anixity is killing you but before you know it you will be celebrating baby's first birtday.

People say the 9 months go by fast but they lie! I'm 32 weeks and 4 days and it seems like I've been pregnant 100 years. Try walking everytime I get to walking around Wal-Mart I start cramping mybe you will too.

I was 6 days late with my 2nd and it does drive you nuts. Peoples comments saying your still pregnant!! I just tried to keep busy, rented movies, cleaned, organized, walked, shopped, talked on the phone. I did all the things I knew I wouldn't be able to do with a newborn around. Also sleep if you can. Good Luck and believe me it won't be forever.

Try doing some baking or getting some meals ready and frozen for your partner for while your in hospital, not to mention quick easy meals for when you first get home.

It may be a hassle, but in the long run you will be glad you did it.

Although everyone will say to be patient...I feel for you. I still have two weeks left...and while I know this is the quietest my life will ever be again and I should appreciate my free time now while I have it, I am so anxious to see her!

Try having sex. They say sex brings on labor plus its a good way to pass the time. As long as its safe for you.
