Assuming that you are pregnant, if you have a UTI (urinary tract infection you should see a doctor. Some are minor and will settle by themselves, but they also have the potential to develop into kidney infections which is more serious. Even if you are not pregnant and have symptoms such lower back pain, pain on urinating, frequency or blood in your urine, see someone

A uti is a urinary tract infection. These are painful (burning sensation when peeing) but can be treated with over the counter medicine (monistat)... and drinking cranberry juice is helpful too. Left untreated, a uti can turn into a bladder infection; left longer it will turn into a kidney infection. Bladder and kidney infections are much more serious and require a doctor's care. Frequent UTI's should be mentioned to the doctor as that could indicate an underlying problem.

A uti is a urinary tract infection, symptoms include a feeling of constantly needing to urinate, when you don't, and a burning when you do. Cranberry juice does help a lot with that. A kidney infection really needs an MDs care. Damage to your kidneys can be irreversible and life threatening. Sadly the husband of a close friend of mine had a kidney infection at 19, which was not treated, that , per his nefrologist, has led directly to the end stage renal failure he suffers thought at 31. If you can get to the doctor , go to one (and the pain and annoyance of a UTI can be cleared right up with medication.)

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is a bacterial infection that affects any part of the urinary tract. Although urine contains a variety of fluids, salts, and waste products, it usually does not have bacteria in it. When bacteria gets into the bladder or kidney and multiply in the urine, it causes a UTI. The most common type of UTI is a bladder infection which is also often called cystitis. Another kind of UTI is a kidney infection, known as pyelonephritis, and is much more serious. Although they cause discomfort, urinary tract infections are usually quickly and easily treated by seeing a doctor promptly.

Go to the doctor!!!! Until you can get to the doctor you can get over the counter pain medicine from a walmart (or such) but that will not make the infection go away. Drinking cranberry juice will help as well, but if the infection goes to your kidneys that is very serious.

If you have never had a UTI (urinary tract Infection) yeah you need to see the doctor. Cranberry juice will help flush out bacteria. If it hurts and burn to pee its probably a UTI if fever chills and lower back pain with the painful peeing then its probably kidney infection and definately needs a doctor

You DEFINITELY need to see a doctor. As a rule, infections can have a hard time clearing up ANYWHERE in the body and will need an antibiotic to knock them out. If you don't get the medications needed, infections can spread and sometimes turn into more complicated illnesses. If you're still not 100% sure, you can always talk with your pharmacist and/or doctor/nurse. They will be able to give you the best advice as to what you, personally, need to do to treat this illness. Hope all goes well with you. While you're at it, try looking up these infections on medical websites, such as WebMD, and see what you can find that might help you.

there are some herbal/natural things you can do, unsweetened cranberry juice being one.
i would seriously recomend going to the doc though. an untreated UTI(bladder or kidney infection) can lead to kidney failure.
signs of a uti include pain or burning on urination, cramping, frequent need to pee, cloudy or bloody urine, foul smelling urine, pain in the flanks, fever.
its not something to mess around with
