I love traditional names like Victoria, Eva, Anna, and Theresa. I think they are beautiful and you'll never get sick of them (good for a baby and child and then mature for when they are older)

This puzzles me. A few friends or mine were pregnant at the same time I was. I was already living with the father of my child. Another friend moved in with her boyfriend almost immediately after she found out she was pregnant. Two others stayed at their parents' houses. One works in a fast food restaraunt and I don't even think the other one works. I understand that parents always want to support their children but at the same time wouldn't they want their grown children to do for themselves? I also understand in cases where the military is involved. Wouldn't they want to tell their kids, "You have a family of your own, now is the time to be responsible?" Maybe I just don't understand it.

I saw on the show Yummy Mummy the other day a baby/mommy exercise program where they were doing the merengue(??spelling) together. I thought it sounded great and something my children and I could do together. Where can I find something like this?

My baby has been dropped and fully engaged at just about station 5 since aruond 33 weeks... His head is through my pelvic opening..

Did anyone else go through this? Did you go into labor before your due date? (I have a ton of contractions all the time, and have started effacing).

Also, I cant help but wonder if the poor guy's face and head's going to be all mooshed and cone shaped from being stuck in my pelvis for so long... Any experiences from you guys?

lol. Waiting is the hardest part....

She's 8 months old now and black & white with light brown hair that's also somewhat orange in the sun.
Even I (the white part) have wavy hair.
Will she stay the way she is now?
No, it's not important - I'm just curious.

I came off my period about two days before i had unprotected sex.I know that sometimes the sperm can live in the body for some time and can manage to be there long enough for an egg to be realeased which can cause pregnancy

I am a first time mom. My son is now 19 mos. old.

Well, though I do pray about this, and try to not get too absorbed with it, I guess I still fear something happening to my son. I know that kids need to explore, play sports, ride bikes, and certainly go places where thier parents can't always be at, but how do you get over the worry?

My own childhood was pretty awful, so I guess I know first hand what can happen to children, and that just makes it worse. Plus, I am a single mom and my son was a true unexpected miracle. So that just makes me worry more about losing him. I just love him so much.

Thanks in advance for any insights you have. I never want my son to feel smothered or held back by my fears as he grows older.

had regular 5 day period in september 1st week. After that in oct. nov. dec. all three months i only had 2 day light period. I did a home pregnency test in october, it came positive, later when i again did in november it came negative. Last week I did blood test at doctor's office, it came negative. But I always feel as if i am pregnant. I get light head, dizziness when I stand up. Can the blood test be wrong, can I be pregnant. If not why am I getting short period from last 3 months

If I am trying to conceive is it bad to get up right after sex? Or do the sperm swim upward no matter what

Do I have a good chance of conceiving this month if I had sex at least every other day or every day and had some cervical mucus? Does anyone think that maybe the reason that women can't get pregnant right away could because maybe they don't do it enough {not that it's their fault or anything!} I haven't really been stressed this month so hopefully I get my BFP. I have had sore boobs, a little mild mild cramping once in a while and I been gassy. Are those symptoms of ovulation at all?? Well thanks to everyone, have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and TONS of Baby Dust!!!

How old do you start talking to your children about drugs and alcohol. My son is 9 and came home saying that his friend said his parents smoke pot. I really didnt know how to respond. I told him that was wrong. We really didnt go into it any more. Im wondering when we should sit him down and really talk to him about the effects these things can have on your life.

Thank you

My New Year's resolution is to get more organized. I am off of work until January 4th and have been cleaning out drawers, closets, etc. Now I am trying to make easy to make (but healthy) menus. I work full time & have 2 kids, and usually have the same meals each week. Point me in the direction to plan, cook , and get it together when it comes to meals each week. Do you plan weekly meals? The kids get happy meals and pizza at least 2-3 times a week, and I want to stop this during the week, but just can't get it together! Thanks for the suggestions!

I know several cases like that. Parents and kids are great people but yet kids have strong resentment and there seems to be no solution.

I'm about 10 weeks pregnant and we've already picked names... though those could change - since it'll be awhile before baby comes.

Tristan Mychael for a boy
Jasmine Nicole for a girl

I've also thought about making Mychael the more traditional spelling "Michael" and Jasmine, less traditional with Jazmine. Any thoughts or opinions? (and I've already heard enough arguments that people think Tristan is a girl name, so please don't go there)
I also have a 7 year old son who's name is Damon Scott, and a 5 year old daughter named Heaven Leigh.

This might sound like a difficult question to answer, as none of us can be really sure of when we have conceived, but I am wondering if anyone has conceived after the ovulation period (the week before the next period). If so, did you experience a normal period, then find out you were pregnant? Or...did you miss it? I know...difficult question, but some people know the exact time they've conceived. Thanks!

I'm waiting for a call back from my doc.....but I just want to know if this has ever happened to anyone? I have a nasty head cold, and I am sooo congested. Everytime I blow my nose this morning, the pressure is making me bleed! (Not from the nose) What's going on? Anyone have a guess?

He wakes up in the middle of the night screaming and kicking. I beleive it is just gas pains because you can here him passing it but having a hard time with it. Sometimes these screaming and kicking fitts go on for over an hour. He dosent want anybody to hold or touch him when he's doing this either. Is it possible for him to have consitant gas problems almost everynight? It is really bad and my wife worrys her self to death when he does it.
