I want my children to do the best they can in school - they don't have to get all A's or B's but they do need to do the best that they are capable of. This will teach them life lessons in a controlled environment. They learn work ethic, they learn consequences, they learn the joy of a job well done. But I also want them to do well socially as that is so important in our society - and what better place than school to teach social skills. School really does lay the groundwork in preparing you for life and the harder you try in school the more successful you will be in life.

I expect my kids to get As. I can swallow a B+ or even a B but I expect As. This is the one record that will follow them wherever they go and I don't write.

If you work with them at home on reading and math and tell them how important it is, there is no reason that any child can't get a B at least.

Dropouts are the kids who get in trouble. A child who gets a C is always looked at differently then someone who gets an A. Its the simple fact of life. If they get Cs, when they are older they won't have the choice of what they can do/schools they can go to/etc and a lot of doors will be shut in their face.

Give it some thought - an A child at 10 will most likely be an A child at 15 since they have the caring attitude about it as well as the study habits. If they know a C will get sports cut out for them as well as a good grounding, then you better believe that they will make caring about it a habit!!

A can't understand all these parents who think that a C is ok. At a younger age it is just learning simple concepts, reading, following direction, paying attention and not getting into trouble. And handing in homework!! Do all those and you will NOT get a C. If your child does they might have trouble reading or a learning disability.

I want my kids to do well in school so that later in life they are able to take care of themselves and not have to sponge off of family and society (ex: welfare). I would like for all of my children to get good educations so that they can attend college and get a job that would be respectable.

There is really no harm in having a child do good in school either, it is actually good for the community as well. Some people that are uneducated end up as bums on the street, some end up as rapists, and some are murderers! They even waste time doing drugs for a living! It really makes no sense!

Not to say that educated people are vindicated from these types of activities, I know that there have been a lot of educated people that have done these types of things as well! But it is mostly those that choose the wrong path that end up like this!

I would just want the best for my kids taboot and would hope that they would all end up able to care for themselves, let's face it I won't be here forever, and I can't watch them after I am gone, so if I look out for them now, I will be able to ensure, hopefully, that they will manage to live a normal life after I have gone!

I hope that this answers your question! Good luck!

Education is a key role in success later in their life. If they do good in school they will more then likely be successful when they are done and doing jobs if they aren't successful then they are likely not going to do good after school. Doing good in school is also a form of good self esteem when they do well the feel good when they do bad they feel low self esteem. I haven't decided if I want public or private or home but right now my four year old is in a public preschool program because she is developmentally behind in a lot of areas which when she goes to regular school or what not she will be able to comprehend things a lot better because she got the education she needed to do well. There are a lot of answers to that question. but what parent wouldn't want the best education for their child??

The importance of your kids doing well in school is so important to me because I want the best for my children and when they go to school, doors open to SO much oppertunities. When my child finishes school I would like to say "Wow! That is my child up there accepting awards that will make their future better, stronger, and very well living." I always want the best for my kids and when they get older, hopefully they will have better futures.

The better the grades, the greater the possibility of financial aid. The better they do in school, the more they know. The more they know, the more options they have and the more likely they will get hired when it comes time to get a job. The better they learn, the cheaper it is to train them and the greater the possibility of promotion.

It is important for kids to do well in school so that they can be taken seriously as adults. You only get so many years of free education. If you waste those, you will not be able to go on as easily to do what you want with your life.

I think a good school is important. You want your kids to do well and excel. You want good caring teachers and principle. If they are confidant successful children they will be confidant successful adults.
