Pregnancy & Parenting - 21 December 2006

Starting to hear..not just starting but starting to listen to the sound of the ole biological clock starting to tick away. Am a 27 year old female who hasn't found 'the one'. But starting to consider becoming a single mother as don't want to look back and wonder 'what if?'. So. Because am not comfortable 'hooking' up with some random guy and becoming pregnant.. leading to a possible slippery slope down the line, I am considering using alternative methods. IE..sperm donor, co-parent, etc. Does anyone know where I would find information regarding this for Saskatchewan? Thanks for any assistance :) (Thoughts and past experiences GREATLY welcomed!)

Okay it is NOT ME i can assure you that !!!! My sister in law is pregnant, 34 weeks now, she just found out halloween week!!! How can that be??? I am 39 weeks have been to her house with my husband several times throughout my pregnacy, I have seen her drink, (she drank everyday, all day) I know she still smokes weed!!! I know she still smokes ciggarettes and dont intend on quiting that!!! I went over there a few times as I said and I have witnessed her doing cocaine ( she did it every weekend and at least 2-3x in the weekday) I dont know if she has done meth but it boggles my mind because she bairly found out she was preg when she was like 6 1/2 months and has been doing all this since then....I think she quit cocaine but her daughter is as old as my son and I know she had her taken awya n got them back because the little girl had cocaine in her system....Her baby dad is a drug dealer, bothe of the dads!!!! How will this affect the baby??? Should I step in and say something to s>S????

I did this parenting class that said I should use something called 123 magic. My kids look at me like I'm funny even though I have followed through on it and punished them like I was told. I believe that there is nothing wrong with a good spanking. Ever think that a lot of the kids that get locked up younger and younger have to do with lack of disipline? What are peoples thoughts on this subject?

So I'm curious if anyone had these symptoms and turned out to be pregnant. I'm also wondering how long I should wait to take the test.
A couple of days ago I had mild cramping and pinkish brown discharge when I wiped. I thought for sure I was getting my period early. Now about every couple of times I use the restroom I have very light pinkish brown discharge. My breasts are heavy, swollen and tender. My lower back has been aching, I'm extremely exhusted. I'm not expecting my period for another 6 days or so but the spotting never escalated into more painful cramps and my period like normal. The spotting has basicly disapeared... So what do you think? Pregnant? When should I test?

Why? WHY?!? Why do parents feel the need to throw the letter ‘n’ at the end of every baby name? It is so overused. I get that parents are trying to be creative, give their child a unique name, and get away from overused names. But don’t you see?! You all are doing the same thing! That’s not unique. Your kid is going to enter kindergarten one day, and the whole class will consist of Aidens, Jaydens, Kaydens, Braydens, Haydens, Madisons, Brooklins, Ashtons, Kaylins, Joceylns, etc…It’s gotten to the point where those names are as abrasive as nails on a chalkboard. Get away from it, people.

This is a very personal question, but I need a quick answer because I'm ready to go seduce my husband if the time is right...lol!! When your body produces the "egg-white" type discharge, does that mean you're ready to get pregnant? Should you wait a day or two after this discharge to conceive?

So many questions for this one particular one. The main thing I wanted to ask is How do you know what you want to be? I love the arts, animals, and dancing/singing. But, I don't know if I ever had that feeling yet, where you know absolutely what you want to be. Should I explore more, is the lack of knowledge of what else is out there in the world (though I'm pretty sure, if anything those fields would be for me), or is it just something else? I'm searching for that one thing I'll be passionate about 4 the rest of my life, but don't know what or how 2 know what it is. Please help, I don't have much more time to decide, I've got to start planning! Please help : )

I'm pregnant and I'm always sleepy and tired. I have to stay up most of the time because I'm a bookkeeper and work mostly during the day. But I find myself falling asleep in front of my computer 80% of the time... i usually take Red Bull which work wonders but I cannot drink any more caffeine now that I'm pregnant. What can i take to give me more energy without harming my baby?

Hi, girls! I am 39 weeks pregnancy. A week ago I had a brown, mucus discharge (which I assume was my mucus plug or at least part of it.) Then, my kiddo dropped (I know this because all of a sudden I felt pressure in my vagina, my stomach changed shape and I started having a sensation like I had to go to the bathroom. I had three days of bliss... great energy, walked 3 miles a day, etc.

But today I was hit with debilitating fatigue... so bad that I can barely walk up a flight of stairs. I am also extremely nauseous. I hesitate to think that I'm going into labor (and don't want to get my hopes up b/c my mom and sister both went to week 41 and had to be induced.)

Did anyone else feel this way - and if so - how long afterwards did you go into labor?

I'm breastfeeding my 6 day old daughter and I'm not sure if she's getting enough milk.
She doesn't sleep much at night but she sleeps well during the day.
She is having pees and poos and she does spit up once in awhile.
Yesterday my boobs were so sore and today they aren't and I started leaking today for the first time was I previously engorged.

I've had sore/tender breast for the last few days, i've also been going to the bathroom more...I've been having light cramps for the last week or two and now they are getting more mild! Yesterday it felt like i was getting my period but no blood came? My last period was on Nov 26th could it be possible i'm pregnant?
Other symptoms i've started to notive
* constant but light backaches
* feeling a little dizzy and sick but it comes in goes in seconds
* bloated
* tired more often
* my body has been week but just my arms and legs

I'm only 16, yet i can't help but think about Sex, i mean i think of different situations w/ different people and different positions and try to find out about it on tv and mags, etc. Sometimes, nasty things come up~that no offense but I'm not comfortable telling what they are. The thing is in real life, or outside my "thoughts" I would not ever do certain things that my thoughts go to which are seriously wrong. Is it something subconscience? (Most of the time in my "thoughts" the men take over while in real life I'm strong, independent, and know at most what is wrong and what is right. Please Help : /

im tcc. my last period was December 1-7th. started ovulating the 9-15 had sex 9,10,13,15,20,21

the 13th after sex i spotted pink and then it was gone. it was my most furtile time still wondering what that might have been from as well. I have also been feel crampy off and on and after sex as well i just have a dull ache feeling in my abdomin. the cramping comes and goes . My nipples are sore and my left one is a lot more sore then the other i have been Feeling bloated after i eat. and tonight 8dpo i started feeling really tired and its only 7:30pm the cramps started at about 4dpo as well is that to soon i have heard many other things. i usually dont get that. My next period isnt due till December 30th. i have a regular 29 day cycle. How many days past ovulating does implantation take place and could i be experinecing cramps from that.
