So many questions for this one particular one. The main thing I wanted to ask is How do you know what you want to be? I love the arts, animals, and dancing/singing. But, I don't know if I ever had that feeling yet, where you know absolutely what you want to be. Should I explore more, is the lack of knowledge of what else is out there in the world (though I'm pretty sure, if anything those fields would be for me), or is it just something else? I'm searching for that one thing I'll be passionate about 4 the rest of my life, but don't know what or how 2 know what it is. Please help, I don't have much more time to decide, I've got to start planning! Please help : )

p.s. Thank you to the people who helped me with my q's! : )

I would recommend that you volunteer in a field you may be interested in. And if when you are ready to head off to college, chose a career for a hobby or field you enjoy doing and think about most. The difference between a job and a career is that a career you actually want to get out of bed and go to work. with a job even when you are well paid getting out of bed can be a hard thing to do. But don't rush into it, think about it like this, do you think like you did when you were 14? then I can assure you, you will think differently when you are 18. Just as an adult would not take career advice from a 16 year old, you should be cautious advising yourself on life changing decisions.
But be aware of what brings you the most joy and see if you can get a career in those fields.

For starters, It's natural for most people to not have a clue what they want to do until after college even. They often decide a field while in their sophmore year, but it's rare people stick with it. I've had mine planned since the 7th grade. It wasn't a feeling I had, it was a choice. I knew it was something that'd prove challenging and give me the satisfaction of being fun as well. All those you mentioned are difficult to even get started and are some of the easiest to fade out of. If you're dedicated to making your dreams happen, good luck, but don't expect it to be easy.

Take your time, and develop interests in many different things. Variety is the spice of life, and enjoy it to the max. However, you do need to think about what you need in order to live well. You've still got a few years to decide. Good luck.

Oh hunni..you've got plenty of time to decide. I'm 21 and I'm in my 3rd year of college..I just found out what I wanted to do and most of my friends have changed their majors so many times and they still don't know what they want. So you're ahead if you know right now but don't stress cause u'll prob change ur mind.

Yea just keep searching. U can try goin to school for one of those fields and if it doesnt feel right just start another one of them. You will know soon, it just clicks one day. Takes alot of reflecting and thinking but you'll know and i hope it works out for ya!

I think you should do some exploring. What do you enjoy doing? Computers? Cooking? Medicine? There are tons of possibilities- and you are sure to find something you can take up.
