Hi, girls! I am 39 weeks pregnancy. A week ago I had a brown, mucus discharge (which I assume was my mucus plug or at least part of it.) Then, my kiddo dropped (I know this because all of a sudden I felt pressure in my vagina, my stomach changed shape and I started having a sensation like I had to go to the bathroom. I had three days of bliss... great energy, walked 3 miles a day, etc.

But today I was hit with debilitating fatigue... so bad that I can barely walk up a flight of stairs. I am also extremely nauseous. I hesitate to think that I'm going into labor (and don't want to get my hopes up b/c my mom and sister both went to week 41 and had to be induced.)

Did anyone else feel this way - and if so - how long afterwards did you go into labor?

Thanks!!!

Let me add that when I mean vaginal pressure - his head is pressing down on my cervix. I don't feel him in the canal. But thank you for the concern! :)

Did you even contact your doctor when you lost your mucus plug? If you feel that you have to have a bowl movement, then that means that you are ready, that's what I felt, and when I called the nurse in she said that was the first sign of being ready to push. When she checked me, I was ready. So the signs of fatigue and nausea, that just means that you are getting close.........but when you feel those unbearable pains, coming at least every 5-10 minutes, then you might wanna call your doctor(I'm just letting you know what your doctor is gonna say, because I heard the same thing when I was pregnant, and we tell all of our patients the same), so just hang in there, it will be all worth it!

Call the doctor babe......you might all ready be there. Actually, I think you should call the hospital, that sensation of the baby in the birth canal might mean that you are going to have a very quick labor!

Hi babe, I never felt mine pressing down like that until I was crowning....45 minutes after they broke my water, I had only been dialated to five at the time....they said I could push and he crowned.......then they held him there while my mom and another nurse whisked me off to the delivery room....I only had a lightening before that, never that pressure....

The good thing is......you'll know when its happening...congratulations! I was lucky enough not to have pain either til that last 45....just a tightening in my belly that I could watch......
