i would like to knew when can you give babys baby food my daughter is one week old and wakes me up like 4 times at night and im very tired alll day but i try to keep her up now at day so she could sleep at day is that good to keep a newborn up all day at her age.

I HAVE A THYROID PROBLEM CALLED GRAVES DISEASE. I HAVE ONE CHILD AND IT WAS A HIGH RISK. WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE 2 MORE. WE HAVE TRIED FOR A YEAR. WE HAVE NOT WENT TO THE DOCTORS YET BECAUSE IT COSTS ALOT. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE ABOUT THIS. I'M AFRAID IT HAS TO DO WITH MY THROID PROBLEM. THANK YOU

I have an issue, after following advice from my grandmother and mothers (mother and mother in law) who all said its impossible to spoil a baby by holding them all the time before they are six months, I now have an overly clingy two month old. As in I can't put her down at anytime or she starts screaming unless asleep. Is there anyway to cure this? Cause as of right now I am doing the screaming baby hour, she is right by me so I know there is nothing wrong with her! Checked diaper and she's eaten. Burped the whole nine yards right down to her reflux meds and anti gas meds being given. Im at my wits end!

I also have other fears.. like my boyfriend he is 21 and I'm only 14.. (yes I know big age but don't judge) if he'd claim the baby could they arrest him? Also.. can you feel pregnant?.. and after becoming pregnant can it hurt to have sex hard.. or to have sex at all?

Are there any working mother out there that still manage to breastfeed while working? I exclusivly pump becuse I work two jobs and feel I am loosing my milk. My baby is four months old and I really wanted to feed her breast milk for at least the recommended six months. Any tips? Help!

When is inducing labor a good idea? And is it really more painful for the mother? Are there dangers for the baby? My first baby was big and we had problems delivering him, ended up in ICU. I'm expecting baby #2 and expect another big baby and want to discuss my options with my doctor tomorrow. Anyone have suggestions/advice on inducing early? Thank you

Ok so im not positive if i am pregnant because i still have a week left till im suppose to get my period according to my pills, and i dont want to stop taking them just in case im not. I wont no for sure until these pills are up but im scared that if i am i could be risking my possible unborn childs life..... can taking this last week of pills hurt a unborn child???

So, A mother dropped her son off at my church a few months ago, and asked our pastor to find him a home. He came to me because he knows I have the resources and that I love children. He has been living with me for a while now, he is 4 and he loves playing with my 3 yr old triplets, they are already like brothers. I am thinking about adopting him and making him my own. I am white and he is black. I have got mixed opinions from people on if they think its okay for me to raise him. What are your feelings?
I esp would like black peoples feelings on this.

I love him, he loves me, I can finacially take care of him and send him to good schools, I send him to a montessori school where its pretty diverse, and I also have black friends with children that he can play with/relate too.... I think I can give him everything he needs, but I just want to know why a lot of black people tend to think I am wrong for doing this?

Start when they're five or so, and whenever they do somethiing bad, make them smoke as a punishment. Make sure they inhale and make sure they cough. Tell them that next time if they do it again, you will make them smoke a non-filtered cigarette.

Then, point at teenagers and adults who are smoking, and tell them that these are people who kept doing bad things, and that their punishment was that they had to keep smoking until they were addicted, so now they cough all the time, and they're going to get cancer.

Then, they'll grow up thinking of smoking as a punishment, and they'll hate it and never want to start!

Please try this on your kids, and in 30 years let me know how it worked. I need at least 1,000 people to try this on their kids for good data. If you work for the tobacco companies, well, sorry.

(this theory is based on my ex-girlfriend telling me that she is a slob because her mother used to make her clean as a punishment)

okay so here is my situation ... i have one daughter 18 months old, and we are trying to conceive again (we really want 3 children). anyways - i am a stay at home mother and i love every second of it. however my husband and i aren't seeing eye to eye about how long i should stay at home with the child(ren). He wants me to go back to work when the child(ren) are in school, but i want to be the homeroom mom, girl scout leader, and all around soccer mom. also- keep in mind that its not money thats an issue (although extra money is always nice)- just a matter of what would i do with my time while the child(ren) are in school. what would be a good comprimise?
