My mother has Graves' Disease as well.

She had to change her medications to become pregnant. The regular thyroid meds for it can wreak havoc on your ovaries, thus preventing ovulation and the possibility of pregnancy! Of course, the disease itself can prevent you from getting pregnant in most cases, so that's not so surprising.

Go back to the doctor and tell him/her that you are trying to have another child. They should be willing to adjust your medication accordingly. It doesn't have to be an OB. Just your regular GP or endocrinologist treating your thyroid issues.

I have a grandma and great uncle who both have Graves disease. My grandma had six children. The way she did it was her doctor prescribed her a different med for the disease which allowed one to get pregnant more easily. You should go to your regular doctor and discuss medication options and mention you are trying to become pregnant.
