Pregnancy & Parenting - 13 December 2006

My 15 is usually a very happy baby but when he gets upset or even just over excited he hits me--in the face. At this point I just take his hand and hold it and look him the eye and say, "Don't hit mommy, that hurts."

I know he's too young to control all of his actions and to understand at this point--but is there anything else I should do? I didn't have this problem with my older son so this is new for me. Thanks in advance for all your help!

What do you do about who presents are from at your house? This is the first year we have a child who is old enough to see what they say.

My side:When I was growing up all the presents were from santa. Anything that was under the tree was from santa. When we went to my granparents they always put from santa on there also and told us that santa left us presents there because we were extra good.

My Husbands side: In his family they always had all the presents be from who they were from except 1. They had 1 that was the "big special present" and it was from santa.

My argument:Whats the point of santa if he only brings you 1 gift? Then why should my child think I'm not as good as santa because he brings a really cool presents and all the of the filler presents are from mom and dad.

His argument: If the kids read the gift is from someone else's house the kids will think that we didn't get them anything, everyone else got them presents but not us

Any ideas? What do you put

i have been brest feeding and pimping my milk for just over 2 weeks and i think i supressed my milk by waring a realy tight sports bra to bed the last 4 days, could that mess up my milk production, and what can i do about it?

My step son is 12 years old he still pees the bed we have tried the pills. I have also tried waking him up through out the night. Hes mother blames it on him being a premie when he was born. I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and Friday I was admitted into the ER for a 4 night stay because they found out I have full blown diabetes. They say it has NOTHING to do with pregnancy. I heard all kinds of stories that my baby may now have organ defects and skeletal defects. I'm going to a high-risk doctor on Monday who'll tell me more, but HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANY WOMAN OUT THERE AND THEIR BABY TURNED OUT TO BE FINE?? I'm scared!!!

Long Story Short. I got married last month and my period was suppose to have happened on MY wedding day so I began birth control to push back my period by one week. My husband and I had unprotected sex twice this week, after I received my period and I just realized that those dates were my original days of fertilization BEFORE I used the birth control and my cycle changed.

I understand that while using birth control, the "periods" you get are no longer good markers for your fertilization days. For the past two days I've been feeling a bit "strange": feeling very tired, having extreme headaches, and for the past two days I've been feeling extremely nauseated and light headed and I don't feel hungry. Am I just being paranoid or is there a good chance that we may be pregnant? I can't get this off my mind... Anyone had something similar happen to them? I know it makes no sense to take a pregnancy test now that I should wait until after I miss my period.

I haven't seen her since she was about 7. She was always in our thoughts, however there was a family disagreement which keep her from seeing us.
My cousin had been molested by somebody in her apartment complex (long story), the man who did this is currently on trial for his crimes. Here is the problem: my cousin seems to think he did nothing wrong (she is still a child and doesn't know she's been taken advantage off by a piece of ****) She may also have tried some drugs. Most of my info. is rumor, since we have been out of the mix for a while.

So my next question is - If your in our shoes, would this change any of your opinions? Would you still take her in?
Don't think by me asking any of these questions I am against it because of her history, that doesn't factor in, it just makes it harder. I just want your opinions.

I am wondering if this has happened to others often. My period is late, I have sore nipples,crampy feelings in abdomen off and on, fatigue, and slight feelings of feeling queazy at times. And multiple pregnancy tests have come out negative. I am scheduled to have a blood test on saturday. My question is if this has happened to anyone else where the pregnancy test says not pregnant after a missed period yet you've been proven pregnant by a blood test.

I need ask...what do you think makes teenagers click? I am a teen myself, but I need your opinion. It can be modeling(thinking they need to be perfect to be pretty) Fast Food (Eating out all the time, and getting obese) Name Brand Clothes (thinking they are worthless unless they have the best of the best). I saidd my math teacher must of not felt like teaching math cause all we are doing is either playing math games or doing homework...she got angry and was like 'do you see me grading papers?!!" I looked a her and shook my hear. My baby seems to move more now than ever. At 39 weeks pregnant.

This causes some pain and discomfort. Does the baby move during labour or do they stay still?

My daugter eye is swollen and not red...She has been rubbing on it all night while she was sleep..That's how it became swollen..I told her to stay home from school and see a doctor...She is crying her eyes out because she really want to go to school...Should I let her go to school with a swollen eye and see a doctor after school or stay home and see a doctor now.

At a 31wk ultrasound I had the ultrasound tech said the measurements showed he weighed 4pnds 6oz. Then at my last appt. at 37wks, I asked my doctor what he thought he weighed now. I think he forgot I had a 2nd ultrasound a few wks back and didn't check his charts....he said 4-5pnds?????? How could that be when he's that far along? Does that sound small to you?? How much does a baby gain in the last few wks? How much would you think he weighs??? Thanks!!!!! Due Jan 2nd 1st one!!!

Just another stupid pregnancy question!....

I go to the doc next wed and i'll be a lil over 16 weeks pregnant and i asked me doc the last time when i can find out the sex. He said we can find out at 16 but we like to be sure at 18-21 weeks pregnant. So does that mean hes not goin 2 do an ultrasound this time & wait til next. only reason i ask if cause he hasnt done one since ive been in my 2nd trimester yet. Thanks!
