Ultrasound weight estimates are extremely inaccurate and can be off by as much as 2 lb. Doctors may or may not be accurate depending on their skill. I wouldn't worry about unless you are suspecting intrauterine growth restriction or something like that. Otherwise weight prediction is all just for entertainment. Trust me, getting a baby from the inside of you to the outside of you is hard no matter what the baby weighs. In fact when I miscarried a one-inch baby it was much harder than delivering my 7 lb 14 oz daughter. I had pain meds for the miscarriage but not for my term delivery. You just never know. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Baby normally gains about a 1/2 pound a week after week 32 until week 36-38. This is just an average though so don't think that you will have a huge baby. you will probably have a seven pound baby. My guess only.
I was told by my doctor that my first would be luck to weight five pounds. The day I deliver her he was my doctor and I had a c-section so he lifted her over the curtain so I could she her and then he said to the nurse "WOW!! I need to know how much that baby weights" It kinda scared me because this was my first and I had a hard pregnancy. Well she ended up weighting 8lbs 14oz, and 22 inches long. She was HUGE. But healthy.
Good Luck and congratulations.

It's always a guess, even with ultrasounds. My friend had an ultrasound that told her the baby was on date and seven pounds, then they induced her and it was a month early and only four pounds. Later ultrasounds are also notoriously wrong, because the baby is so crowded that the machine is fooled by the numbers.
Only a good midwife or doctor with LOTS of experience will be able to guess well. So much depends on babies position, your body build, the baby's build, etc. In actuality, your baby could be born in three to five weeks (remember, due dates are estimates...it totally depends on when your body is ready, when baby is ready, etc) That's a chance to put on another one to three pounds.
Are you eating well to provide those calories for growing? Drinking lots of water? Since your stomach is so pressed right now, you really have to force yourself to keep snacking and providing that for your baby. Take care of yourself and relax...your baby is almost here!!! Yay!

Ultrasounds can be off by a pound give or take I bet he weighs atleast 7 pounds you don't want a big baby trust me when I had my last baby he weighed 9 pounds 2 ounces and was over 2 weeks early my doctor said if they didn't induce me he probably would have weighed almost 11 pounds and giving birth to him was a *****

Either weight is fine and that all that matters.
He didn't start gaining fat until around 20 weeks.
It is on a smaller side but its healthy! And he still has another 3 weeks to fatten up more.
He could have also been laying differently then last time which may alter the results.
when your trying to push him out that smaller baby will be great!

Every baby is different. All the doctor is doing is guessing at the weight. My Doctor told me around two weeks before I had my daughter, she weighed close too 8lbs. When she was born, she weighed 6lbs and 8oz. Yes, my daughter was on time. Your baby probably weighs anywhere from 6lbs-8lbs and 5ounces. Don't worry about how much your baby weighs, he'll be fine.

I'd say a healthy 6lbs.....babies gain a lot of weight in the last weeks....of course odds are he doesn't have the same weight he did at 31 wks. Congratulations on your baby!! in the blink of an eye you will have him with you...God bless your baby :)

That is not abnormal at all. Just be patient. Healthy is what you need to worry about at this point, not his weight. 4.5 or better is excellent. And you still have 2-3 weeks to go, so just hang in there tight.
Congrats!
