It depends on what state you are in. Some states allow 17 year olds to live independantly if they choose.
as to your bf, he cannot get "more" custody simply because he's 19. I take it you are not married. If there is no legal documentation, no paternity test and no child support, he has NO custody. If you or he file to prove paternity and get child support, he will get visitation rights, but not custody.

You will have to share custody with your boyfriend, unless he is determined to be an unfit parent. No one will have "custody" unless there is a court order. Before you go to court, you are simply just both the child's parents. However, if you are not planning on getting back together, then you need to go to court and file for custody, or come up with a mutual custody arrangement for the child.
You may only be seventeen, but the child is yours. The child's father's age does not matter unless he is 15 or younger.

There are a lot of factors that go into decideing custody, but age alone won't make the difference. They'll look at which of you can provide a better environment for the child to be in, they'll look at houseing, income, who will care for the child with either of you, lots of stuff. If you can give the baby a better home, it won't matter that you're younger. Good luck.

yes when you give birth and you're a minor in the eyes of the law your legally emancipated. because you are not married to your boyfriend then he will not be listed on the state birth certificate until he fills out a paternity acknowledgement agreement form. the nurses at the hospital will explain all this to you. congrats and good luck!!
