i have to wait a few days to test for sure if i'm pregnant, but wonder if one can pass through those scanning sections at the airport as i'm travelling abroad next wednesday? anybody pls advise! thanks!

Yes it is. My husbands a pilot and I went through one 3-4 times while I was pregnant. And he's worked with pregnant pilots and flight attendants that have flown up until there 8th month, it's fine. But if YOU are weary about it, just ask a security agent at the security gate to scan you with a metal detector and all that fun stuff instead. Good luck, you'll be fine!

I leave tomorrow to go back to the states (Im from the states but live in germany with my husband hes in the Army) Im 6 weeks and my dr approved me going and didnt say anything about it...its a metal detector not an xray. My dr here is also letting me go back to the states when I am 7 months pregnant to have the baby.

If you DO find out you are pregnant make sure you ask your doctor if the country you are traveling to requires vaccinations. Some might not be safe for the baby.

This is safe to do when you are pregnant. I have travelled heavily during my entire pregnancy and my doctor assures me that this is fine.
